A Great Place to Walk: seongjeong Embankment Road (Songjeong Jegil)

#cityplaybook Feeling tired of busy city life, especially during your lunch break? If you're looking for a peaceful escape in Seoul, check out Seongjeong Embankment Road (가을단풍길/송정제방길) in Songjeong-dong, Seongdong-gu. While it's a bit away from crowded office areas like Seongsu, this hidden spot is a wonderful place to relax and feel good. For me, staying healthy means walking 40 minutes after lunch and dinner. Songjeong Embankment Road is perfect for this. Unlike the super crowded streets in Seongsu, where it's hard to enjoy a walk, this path lets you really connect with nature. This past week, I've gone there for all my walks, and it makes me feel so much better, both inside and out. One of the best things about this path is all the trees. They give you plenty of shade, which is great when the sun is hot. And the shadows they cast on the ground make everything feel fresh and alive. It's truly nice to walk under the trees and feel close to nature. But the real highlight is the "barefoot 황토길" (Hwangto-gil, loess path). Taking off your shoes and walking on this natural dirt path is not only good for you, but the path itself is so beautiful it's incredibly calming. Feeling the earth under your feet is a wonderful experience. And for convenience, at the start and end of this path, there are places to wash your feet with cool water, so you can easily clean them up afterward. Finishing your walk with clean, cool feet makes the whole experience even better. Seongjeong Embankment Road isn't just for walking during the day. The view at night is also lovely, making it a great spot any time. It's quickly become one of my favorite places to go. If you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy some quiet time in nature, I highly recommend it. It's a perfect place for families, friends, and couples to take a relaxed stroll on weekends. With the Children's Day holiday coming up, I'm definitely planning to go to Songjeong Embankment Road! Whether you need a quick break during lunch or a relaxing outing on the weekend, Songjeong Embankment Road offers beautiful nature and a peaceful vibe. It will leave you feeling healthy and happy. #strolling #naturelovers
