The lesser-known Huaxia Park also has its advantages: it's less crowded, the scenery is beautiful, and it even has a 'Pudong Deer Park'

Huaxia Park is located at No. 185 Huaxia East Road, right next to the Shanghai Outer Ring Expressway, and is more than twenty kilometers away from downtown Shanghai. As early as the end of the last century, Huaxia Park was originally part of the 'Green Belt around the City' in Pudong New District. At the beginning of this century, after the government invested in renovations for spring and autumn scenery, it gradually transformed into an urban park with suburban characteristics. In 2012, it was included in the Shanghai City Park Directory. Although Huaxia Park is remote and considered a niche and unpopular park, it has its advantages: it is less crowded and more beautiful, and the park also has the Pudong Deer Park, which other city parks cannot compare with. Now, the parks in the city are crowded with visitors, and during holidays, they are even more overcrowded, greatly diminishing the pleasure of the visit. Huaxia Park, however, is as usual throughout the four seasons and is a great place worth visiting. Entering the park, the tall camphor trees are lush and dense, blocking out the sun, as if you have come to a wild and primitive forest. The author firmly believes that during the hot summer, this place must be a great spot to cool off and escape the heat. Inside the park, the arrangement of Cherry Blossom Island, Lotus Fragrance Hall, Heart Lake, Autumn Water Garden, Deer Park, and Rainwater Garden is just right, fully showcasing the beauty of the 'flowers of spring, lotuses of summer, leaves of autumn, and birds of winter'. The park also has basketball and tennis courts, providing visitors with free fitness and entertainment facilities. The wildlife rescue station takes in and helps injured and illegally trafficked wild animals.
