In the fortieth year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty (1614), a Tang Dynasty stele was found in the temple during the reconstruction of Dafo Temple. At that time, based on the remaining ritual instruments and other items in the temple, it was verified that Dafo Temple was indeed the site of an ancient temple built during the Tang Dynasty. The temple was renovated multiple times in the twelfth year (1747), the fifty-sixth year (1791) of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty, and the second year (1910) of the Xuantong era. In the fifth year of the Republic of China (1916), the nun Changhui became the abbot, and in the eighteenth year (1929) of the Republic of China, Changhui and Changzhi once again renovated the mountain gate, the central hall, and the main hall. The central hall enshrines the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, and the main hall houses the Buddha Sakyamuni, with sixteen arhat statues in the left and right halls. There are side rooms to the east and west of the main hall, and east and west wings in front of the central hall. The western wing has now been demolished. The entire temple covers an area of 2,272 square meters. There are inscriptions on the east and west walls of the central hall; the east side inscription records the construction time and process, and the west side inscription describes the general process of renovating the Ksitigarbha Hall (central hall) and others. Dafo Temple is an ancient temple that was originally built in the early Tang Dynasty, rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, and renovated in the Qing Dynasty, with a history passed down to this day. According to the 'Shenyang County Annals', there was a plaque from the twelfth year of the Qianlong era and a sixteen-foot-tall bronze Buddha statue. By the early Republic of China, they had already disappeared. During the 1990s, the Ksitigarbha Hall, Heavenly King Hall, and mountain gate, among other structures, were rebuilt on the original foundation. Dafo Temple
