| A serene environment, a garden of love. ✅ The Couple's Garden Retreat, located in Xiaoxinqiao Lane, east of Suzhou city, covers about 12 acres and is surrounded by water on three sides. It features paired serene environments and romantic love stories. ✔️ The garden layout includes the east and west gardens, east pond and west well, and the yellow stone rockery in the east garden paired with the Taihu stone rockery in the west garden; the garden has a unique structure and a tranquil and beautiful environment. ✔️ It is also known as the Garden of Love because of the beautiful love story between Shen Bingcheng and Yan Yonghua in the late Qing Dynasty; it is also the only garden marriage registration office in Suzhou. ✔️ In 2000, it was listed in the 'World Heritage List' by UNESCO, and in 2001, it was designated as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
