Ginkgo Avenue in the Outer Garden of Meiji Shrine

The Ginkgo Avenue in the Outer Garden of Meiji Shrine is less than 200 meters long, with four rows of neatly planted ginkgo trees on both sides of the road. The trees are pruned into a tower shape, with a carriageway in the middle and sidewalks on both sides. From mid-November to early December each year is the season to watch the yellow leaves. On November 13, 2023, I went to the Outer Garden of Meiji Shrine for the first time. The ginkgo leaves hadn't turned yellow much, except for some leaves on the top of some trees were a bit yellow, most of them were light green. A week later, on November 20, most of the leaves had turned yellow, and some trees had turned golden. It was a sunny day, and the Ginkgo Avenue under the blue sky was so beautiful. I guess in a few days, when all the leaves turn golden and the fallen leaves cover the ground, the scene will be even more charming. Transportation: Take the Toei Oedo Line to Aoyama-itchome Station, remember to take Exit 1, take the elevator to the ground, walk about 200 meters to the left, and turn right is Ginkgo Avenue. Note: You can't walk on the carriageway to take pictures. There is a line between the sidewalk and the carriageway. There are police cars patrolling, using horns to remind people not to walk out of the road to take pictures. Many people will stop to take pictures when the pedestrian crossing light is green, and some people will walk to the edge of the road to take pictures when the police car is not there.
