Asakusa's landmark: Kaminarimon

The landmark of Asakusa must be the giant red lantern "Kaminarimon" at the entrance of Sensō-ji Temple. Right behind Kaminarimon is Japan's oldest shopping street, Nakamise-dori, which has more than 90 stores. All the stores along the way sell Asakusa specialty snacks and souvenirs, so you are sure to find something you like. Continue walking forward and you will reach the historic Sensoji Temple, where you can pray, draw lots, and buy amulets to pray for blessings.
