🗼✨Walk around Tokyo for 1 day in Shibuya-Shinjuku

This Tokyo trip, we took a day off from Disneyland to fully experience “Tokyo-ness”. Easy to walk, fun to travel, and endless eating at Shibuya and Shinjuku, two famous areas that never sleep. 📍 Starting at Shibuya, when you get off the station, you will see the all-time landmark “Shibuya Crossing”. People are constantly crossing the road as if they were rehearsing for a fashion show all day long. Crossing by yourself is fun, watching people cross is fun. 🧸 Don’t forget to take a picture with the statue of Hachiko, the loyal dog, and stop by Shibuya Scramble Square to go up to the top floor, “Shibuya Sky”. The view is great, with a panoramic view of Tokyo, especially at sunset. 🍣 After walking around, you have to eat! Shibuya is full of restaurants worth visiting, including conveyor belt sushi, ramen, and Japanese sweets shops. We chose to eat beef rice at a small shop with only a counter — but the taste is so delicious. 🚇 Then take the train to Shinjuku, another bustling area with a different feel from Shibuya. There are many department stores, shops, parks, and entertainment districts here. 🦖 The highlight is the Godzilla Head that emerges from the Gracery Shinjuku Hotel building! It's really big. The roar in the afternoon is very satisfying. You can go up and see it up close if you're staying at the hotel, or take the elevator to the cafe above for a similar feel. 📸 There are many photo spots downstairs, including neon lights, mysterious cafes, and even game shops and gacha machines that allow you to stop and take pictures every 10 steps. 🛍 Finally, shop at Don Quijote, Uniqlo, and Japanese shoe brands at discounted prices.
