Vincennes Castle

Vincennes Castle is located near the Vincennes Forest Park in the suburbs of Paris. It is a 14th-century royal fortress, featuring both wide and deep moats, towering walls, and towers. Walking through the spacious castle, one can feel the strong medieval atmosphere and rich historical heritage, making it well worth a visit. Vincennes Castle is a fortress complex. The layout is rectangular, roughly oriented north-south, with three gates. The outer walls are surrounded by a moat, and there were originally six towers, each 42 meters high, on the walls. However, during the Napoleonic era, they were demolished to the height of the walls, leaving only the main gate on the north side intact. Inside the castle, there are several administrative and military buildings, a chapel, the main tower itself, and its associated walls and moat.
