The last royal tribe of the Nanzhao Kingdom

Legend has it that Zhuomulang Village was the last royal tribe of the Nanzhao Kingdom. Located in a mountain valley in Dacang Town, Weishan County, Dali, the village is home to the Yi people and is a typical traditional Yi village. Due to its remote location, Zhuomulang has remained largely unaffected by the outside world, preserving its traditional culture, customs, and clothing. Every year, the villagers worship the tree god, and older women wear traditional ethnic clothing, which is colorful and beautiful. As it has not been influenced by the outside world, Zhuomulang has no commercial atmosphere, maintaining its original simplicity and naturalness. There are no accommodations, restaurants, or even small shops in the village. If you visit Dali and prefer ancient villages and natural simplicity to crowded tourist attractions, Zhuomulang is a great place to visit.
