Whitstable is located on the north coast of Kent in southeast England. It is a famous oyster-producing seaside town in the UK. It is said that oyster digging has been going on in the area since Roman times. Currently, Whitstable holds an annual Whitstable Oyster Festival, attracting many local and overseas tourists to taste fresh British oysters. The date of the Oyster Festival is different every year. The local oyster season is from September 1st to April 30th of the following year, so even if you don’t come during the Oyster Festival, you can still eat fresh British oysters when you come to Whitstable during these months! Three popular filming locations: Popular photo spot 1: Oyster Shell Hill - Whitstable Beach When you come to Whitstable, a famous oyster-producing seaside town in the UK, in addition to tasting local British oysters, you must of course also take photos and check in at the "Oyster Shell Mountain" near Whitstable Beach! In fact, this is not an official attraction, it is just an "oyster shell mountain" we found near Whitstable Beach. However, I personally think it is very iconic, and many people will "hold one" on the ground to take pictures! Popular photo spot 2: Whitstable Harbour Whitstable Harbour is a pier where you can moor boats, go fishing, take a sailboat and local tour boats. There are quite a few moored boats at the pier! Popular photo spot 3: Rows of colorful huts on the grassland - Tankerton Beach Huts Tankerton Beach Huts is my favorite and most recommended photo spot because there is a large lawn, rows of colorful huts and a large sea. It is very comfortable and free, and it feels like a fairy tale and paradise! Google map shows three locations: Tankerton Slopes, Tankerton Bay Beach Huts and Tankerton Beach. In fact, they are the same place, but with different scenery from top to bottom! Tankerton Slopes is a slope with a large lawn. There are some long benches on the slope. Sitting there and looking up at the sky and the sea, all your worries will be swept away! When taking photos on the slope, you can also capture rows of colorful cottages and the sea and sky as the background! Tankerton Bay Beach Huts are rows of colorful huts located on a grassy slope. There are three rows in total. Whether you are taking pictures in the first row on the grass or in the second or third rows, the pictures are beautiful. Personally, I think taking pictures of the colorful huts on the grass is more beautiful than taking pictures on the ground, because when we went there, the pictures on the ground would be backlit! My personal favorite is the independent colorful cottage! The colorful cottage faces Tankerton Beach, which feels similar to Whitstable Beach. Although it is also called a beach, the beach there is not sand but gravel. You can also see a row of windmills in the distance!
