Wanlin Art Museum of Wuhan University

Located within Wuhan University on Keji Road, Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, the Wanlin Art Museum of Wuhan University has a total construction area of 8,410.3 square meters, with one underground level, three above-ground levels, and a height of 28 meters. It is affiliated with Wuhan University and is a local art-themed specialty museum. In June 2011, Chen Dongsheng, an alumnus of the 1983 class of Wuhan University, donated 100 million yuan in his personal capacity for the construction of the Wanlin Art Museum of Wuhan University, which is named after his father. On May 9, 2014, the Wanlin Art Museum of Wuhan University was officially opened. The museum houses a diverse collection accumulated over the 128 years since the establishment of Wuhan University, including animal specimens, precious cultural relics excavated by archaeology professionals and students, and specimens brought back by members of the Antarctic Survey and Research Center from the polar regions.
