April is the month where azaleas bloom uniquely, creating a sea of flowers with endless beauty in the Wuhan Botanical Garden. The Azalea Park in the garden simulates the wild growth environment of azaleas, planting alpine and subalpine azaleas according to the slope differences. It has collected and cultivated more than 200 varieties of azaleas, including Rhododendron simsii, Rhododendron molle, Rhododendron spinuliferum, Rhododendron pulchrum, and Rhododendron scabrum, with a total of 50,000 plants. The most representative azalea species in the park include the deciduous Rhododendron simsii and the wild Rhododendron stenopetalum, as well as the exotic Rhododendron. Strolling through the Azalea Park, one can hear the songs of orioles and swallows, be enveloped in a subtle fragrance, and see a deep forest with serene scenery, winding paths, and flowers blooming like a brocade.
