Sixi Yancun Village is a scenic spot on the north route of Wuyuan, consisting of the two villages of Sixi and Yancun, where a cluster of ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties is well-preserved. Located in the Sixi Yancun scenic area, the Mingxun Hall, known as Wuyuan's 'Qiao Family Courtyard', has witnessed nearly 300 years of historical changes in ancient Huizhou, and historical figures such as Zuo Zongtang have lived here. / This is the first stop where we settled after arriving in Wuyuan, we booked 'Mingxun Bieyuan·37 Old House', Mingxun Bieyuan consists of three old houses, with the main hall located in '37 Old House', displaying many bottles and jars and some small objects. The guesthouse is inside the scenic area, and we arrived in the evening, so there was no need to check tickets to enter. After dinner, children were running around in the village, elders were sitting in the pavilion at the entrance of the village, chatting and laughing, the village was very quiet, and there was basically no activity after dark. / We stayed at 'Diba Jiao', which is in another courtyard next to the main hall, with two guest rooms upstairs and downstairs. In the morning, the entire ancient town was shrouded in heavy fog, walking on the bluestone slabs, looking at the white walls and black tiles, the flying eaves and the horse-head walls.
