The source of the Xinfeng River, Shaoguan Yunji Mountain, the highest peak in the Pearl River Delta

Shaoguan Yunji Mountain is the source of the Xinfeng River. The old street at the foot of the mountain is full of charm. At the entrance, a row of spectacular ancient wood fossils are displayed, indicating the traces of ancient times. On a sunny morning, we embarked on a winding mountain trail. After an hour and a half of climbing, we finally reached the magnificent waterfall with the inscription 'Source of Xinfeng River'. In the afternoon, we decided to challenge ourselves. We followed the red ribbons marked by fellow hikers and started to head towards the steeper mountain road. We walked through the wonders of a narrow path between huge rocks, even using branches and roots to explore the undeveloped wild path. Considering the children's physical strength, my wife decided to lead the children back to the waterfall rest area. I continued to climb the peak bravely. After another two and a half hours of hard trekking, I successfully reached the top. At this moment, the cold wind on the top of the mountain was howling, the clouds were lingering, it was like a fairyland. Fortunately, I met another hiker who also conquered the top of the mountain. We helped each other to take precious photos of the summit.
