Fojia Temple ~ a great place to feel the Zen nature!

#seoulattractions When I climbed up the naturally formed stone steps, I saw the magnificent Buddha inside the Cheonwangmun Gate. It is said that these Buddha statues were originally located in the Yeonjesa Temple founded by Dosun Guoshi of Xingdeok, North Jeolla Province. It was not until the 7th year of Emperor Gaozong's reign that Zen Master Xuedou rebuilt Fojia Temple and then moved it from the abandoned Yuanqi Temple to its current location! As soon as you enter Bulgapsa Temple, you will first see the dense natural woods formed around Iljumun, followed by the various main halls of Bulgapsa Temple, the most conspicuous one being Bulgapsa Main Hall. If you want to feel the Zen of nature, this is definitely the place to visit. It’s a great place~!
