The Terracotta Army: A Timeless Wonder
Soldiers in rows, standing so tall,
Crafted with artistry, one and all,
A wonder of ancient history,
With this army, awe you would see.
Looking proud and ready in rows,
Guarding the emperor, so it goes,
Terracotta Warriors, frozen in time,
Preserved for ages, a wonder sublime.

Terracotta army-just for a tick in UNESCOlist
Visiting terracotta army was the biggest disappointment of the summer for a few reasons:
1. Herds of tourists and terrible heat this July
2. Overpriced (for a hall of statues... )
Well, I could still recommend to go there to those, who don't have overestimated expectations and NOT during summer holidays.
My tour included a visit to Huaqing palace in the morning which I liked better (all pictures but the first are from that site), even had some time to hike the "mountain". However, if you prepare in advance and learn a bit about Xian's incident, you can see a play of the same name there at the Scenic spot (I missed it because I didn't prepare well enough in advance and regretted afterwards)

the sizes of the pit were huge, and it is near impossible to phatom how their made each warrior looking totally different and unidentical. a must go, similar to the great pyramids!

A Great Monument - A Glorious View
Hardy’s Monument can been seen from swathes of southern England, but only when you walk up to it can you truly appreciate the magnificent outlook that is possesses over the surrounding countryside. On a clear day you can see across multiple counties, and if you are lucky you can distinguish many ancient burial barrows and Iron Age fortifications, while now lie smothered in grass.#Hardy #view #hiking #england #countryside
