Muzium Padi / Paddy Museum
This place exhibits on rice cultivation, agriculture-focused paintings and a panorama of villages and paddy fields.
A great place to learn about paddy and rice. The exhibitions are quite extensive. They have a revolving platform at the top floor with a 360 degrees diorama, which is very beautifully drawn mural.
We can also see the different varieties of rice in different countries.
Location: Gunung Keriang, 05150 Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia

Rice museum again
Actually, there are many other interesting places in Kedah. Anyway, this rice museum is a must-visit.
The reason is that Kedah is a rice granary state.
If you don't go see the rice or the fields, your vacation is incomplete.
It is rumored that the rice museum will be temporarily closed for the repair process of the rotating 3D painting.
Hopefully, you can consider it for the convenience of the disabled and the elderly.
It's also tiring to go up the stairs, even for pregnant women.
Whatever, the rice museum is the best while having fun with Mount Keriang in the background.
Paddy Museum @ Kedah
Fun, get to know about the history. And #MyTripVlog nice foods.
Pusat Sains Cawangan Utara
This is actually a good place for young children. Lots of interactive science play. I just hope they can keep the place neat and working especially the exhibits. All in all it was great. Tickets were cheap and the children were adequately occupied. everything is so fun. This National Science Centre (Northern Branch) is located near the Paddy Museum about 12 km from Alor Setar. It is an interesting and educational place to visit for both the young and the old. There are many types of interactive displays and activities in various themed galleries to try, explore and be fascinated with. There is even a small cinema for a short 3D viewing. Visitors can try rock climbing, moon-walking and cycling on a tightrope. The entrance fee is low, between RM1 to RM3 only. Senior citizens, children below 7 years old and the handicapped get to enter for free. It is open from Sunday to Thursday from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. It is a nice place for a family outing especially to keep the children's eyes and fingers off their smart phone for an hour or two.

I usually eat rice but I don't know much about it. I happened to come to the rice capital - Alor Setar Kedah, so I took the time to visit the Rice Museum.
