Tide Trails & Tranquil Views: Escaping to Pulau Mawar
#johorbahruguide
Pulau Mawar was a peaceful retreat that felt worlds away from city life. Just under three hours from Singapore, we arrived during low tide and crossed a sandbank to reach the island’s iconic stone arch—Heaven’s Gate. The turquoise waters shimmered under the sun, and the famous mangrove “Insta-tree” stood quietly in the shallows, perfect for photos. A short forest hike led us to dramatic coastal views, with ropes guiding the way. We picnicked on the beach, surrounded by nature’s calm and the sound of waves. With minimal crowds and no light pollution, it’s also a stargazer’s dream. Pulau Mawar blends raw beauty, quiet adventure, and photogenic charm into one unforgettable escape.
