Cherry Blossom Paradise in the Urban Jungle
In northern Taiwan, the cherry blossoms on Pingjing Street in Yangmingshan are often the first to announce the arrival of spring!
From January to February each year, visitors can turn left into Lane 71 of Section 3, Zhishan Road in Shilin District to enter Yangmingshan and enjoy the blooming mountain cherry blossoms along the way. However, the "Pingjing Street Lane 42," known as the "most romantic cherry blossom trail," offers a unique experience.
Nestled in the quiet alleys of Yangmingshan, the cherry blossoms break the serene atmosphere during the blooming season as cherry blossom enthusiasts flock to the area, filling every corner of the alleys in Pingdeng Village.
The blue sky is always the best backdrop, making the pink and red blossoms stand out even more against the distant mountains, white clouds, and azure sky. Every photo taken here is stunning!
Nearby, there are many leisure and sightseeing farms offering coffee, tea, and scenic views of agricultural produce. You can also enjoy farm-style cuisine, making it a perfect destination for a day trip.

Lushanli Cherry Blossom Forest in Yangmingshan
Lushanli Cherry Blossom Forest in Yangmingshan is a relatively hidden but incredibly beautiful spot for cherry blossom viewing. The cherry blossoms here are dense, and when they are in full bloom, it feels like walking through a cherry blossom tunnel, with pink petals covering the entire road, creating a very romantic atmosphere. Due to its remote location, getting there requires some transportation arrangements, but this also means fewer crowds, making it perfect for travelers who want to escape the hustle and bustle and quietly enjoy the flowers. There are also many natural trails and mountain views nearby, which can be combined with hiking routes. The best time to visit is around March each year, and it is recommended to bring a camera and a bento for a spring picnic under the cherry trees. Lushanli Cherry Blossom Forest is not only a hidden gem for cherry blossom viewing but also a great place to slow down and appreciate the changing seasons.

Spring Cherry Blossoms, Misty Yangmingshan
Late February, with a gentle breeze, is the time when cherry blossoms are in full bloom on Yangmingshan. I took a bus winding up the mountain, and from afar, I could see the hills adorned with a sea of pink and white flowers, like a dream floating in the mist. Walking along the Erziping Trail, the cherry blossoms swayed with the wind, petals falling like fine snow, and the air was filled with a faint floral fragrance, making one feel at ease. I stopped by the lakeside, quietly admiring the reflection of the cherry trees on the water, gently trembling with the breeze, like a poem or a painting. In the afternoon, I arrived at the Flower Clock Plaza, where sunlight filtered through the gaps between the flowers, and a few squirrels leaped on the branches, adding a touch of liveliness. Visitors wandered under the cherry trees, either taking photos or sitting quietly to savor the spring scenery. As the sun set, the mist slowly rose, and the twilight cast a faint golden hue on the cherry blossoms, like a moving painting. Reluctantly, I left, looking back to see the cherry blossoms on Yangmingshan still swaying in the evening breeze, leaving behind a gentle springtime memory.
