[Kyoto] A short trek to a mountain with a panoramic view of Kyoto
📍 Mt. Daimonji, Kyoto Mt. Daimonji is known for the Gozan no Okuribi bonfires on August 16 every year! You can actually climb it from within the city! *The mountain with the character "Dai" in it ⛰️ You start the climb from the road behind Ginkakuji Temple, so it's convenient to get off the city bus at the "Ginkakuji-michi" stop 🚌 (there is a well-maintained hiking trail) I joined a tour because it was part of the activities at the hotel where I was staying, so there was a guide, but you can also climb it on your own ⛰️🤍 Once the sun went down, it was really dark and I went down the mountain with a flashlight, but if it's your first time, I think it would be hard to find the way, so if you're climbing on your own, it's probably best to do it during the day!! If you want to see the night view, we recommend a tour with a guide☺️💫 The view from the top that only those who climb can see is amazing~💓 Climbing in the evening allows you to enjoy a different atmosphere before and after sunset, so your satisfaction is doubled♡ Kyoto is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and there are height restrictions on buildings to protect the landscape, so there are no tall buildings such as tower apartments because buildings can only be built up to the equivalent of 10 stories🏙️ Therefore, if the weather is good, you can see the Harukas Observatory in Osaka from the top of the mountain! ! It takes about an hour to arrive from the entrance⛰️
You can climb as if you are hiking, so it is perfect for beginners to mountain climbing👟 Add excitement to your daily life:🌙
