[2025 George Town Stay] Travel Guide for Ropewalk Piazza Hotel Managed By The Ascott Limited  (Updated May)

Experience a unique stay at the Ropewalk Piazza Hotel in Penang, a serviced apartment hotel converted from a row of colonial-era houses. The ground floor is occupied by shops, while the second floor houses the apartments. The hotel offers two-bedroom and three-bedroom units, featuring modern and cozy interiors that make you feel right at home. The only downside is the lack of an elevator, but with just two floors, carrying luggage isn't too much of a hassle. We booked a two-bedroom unit, which came with a spacious living room and a simple kitchenette. Conveniently located next to the Shantou Street Night Market, it's easy to grab some local snacks and enjoy them back at the apartment. The property uses a secure passcode system for entry, making it both safe and convenient. Its proximity to attractions and shopping malls means you can explore most of George Town's old city area on foot. The nightly rate is around TWD 2,200, and the unit is approximately 50 square meters, offering a bright and spacious environment. Managed by Sia Gek, the overall experience was pleasant, especially with the ample space that avoids the cramped feeling of a small hotel room.

Attracted by the look of the front door and tried their Boba tea.....nothing really special and just another boba tea.....good to chill the hot humid summer day

Been there and sampling their food......just similar to any other food choices on the side of the road and many other placed. Just few more choices, worth to visit but will not be back as there are other plenty choices

Where there is ant there is sugar........the long queue says it all about the food. But you will not wait for more than 30-minutes to get the food as long as those people sitting on the hairs quickly finish their meal and out.

I loved Durian and July is the best season to come to Penang to sample their many Durian. Honestly I prefer Red Prawn over Musang King.....and never know they also have Musang Queen....just about time for the King to have the Queen. Cannot wait for the Musang Sons to come out as well

Loved it Loved it.......the surrounding not very appetizing but the soup is really good. And it is the healthy version........surely will be back again.

Thsi food court is on Kimberley Night Market, not too big but it still offer quite plenty of food choices with good prices. Try the Char Kuay Teaw and the Oyster Fried Egg, not that expensive, cook a la minute and serve hot

We all knew that Penang or Southeast Asia has plenty of sweet food to offer. We stop by this store to try their herbal tea, it was bitter but we knew it is healthy drink for our body and a good break from all those oily and sweet stuff
