Situated towards the top of the east wall of the old city in Chiang Mai this restaurant is one of the better known establishments in the area and is regularly featured by numerous vloggers on YouTube. The restaurant has been featured in the Michelin guide for the past three years. My wife and I recently visited this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary and tried a number of tasty dishes ranging from the salad to tacos along with the local favourite of Khao Soi and finally the roasted salmon. All of the dishes we tried were tasty and flavorful. The decor of the restaurant is a cross of traditional and quirky. Prices are higher than typical Thai process but if you are celebrating I would definitely give it a try. Enjoy!!

This is such a beautiful dinner expericne in traditional Thai cuisine. The fried morning glory in the platter was excellent. The minced meat dumplings I preferred the flower shape more than the bird shape ones, as the bird shape ones were a bit too powdery for my taste. Most of the fried things here are pretty decent, not too oily and is super crispy. The Tom yum gong soup, if you as them to make it minimum spiciness, it basically not spicy at all which is great since we don’t really eat spicy. Service was very friendly and efficient. Ambience was incredible and vibes were immaculate. The interior design was stunning. Every table setting is unique. Different types of furniture. A ton of well put together decor. The restaurant I'm introducing today is The House by Ginger, which has been awarded a Michelin star for 5 years in Chiang Mai! Reservations can be made online or by phone. You can taste dishes from the northern part of Thailand based on vegetables from a nearby farm and ginger grown directly from a ginger farm. I ordered Crispy Pork Fried Rice, Coconut Curry, and Spring Rolls. Please note that the top part of the coconut curry has coriander powder! The latest award is the "Michelin Bib Gourmand". In addition to the delicious food, the restaurant is also beautifully decorated, giving a warm atmosphere like eating at a friend's house. Generally, this place focuses on serving authentic Thai food and Thai fusion food so that customers can taste good quality food that is meticulously prepared and delicious at an affordable price. As for the signature menu, I recommend the Northern Khantoke, Dried fish, Watermelon, Coconut milk beef, Ancient pomelo salad with fresh shrimp, Caramelized bananas with coconut milk ice cream, and many more.
