Beautiful chilly time nearby the lake
Walking around the lake in Pusing, Ipoh is kind of meditation. It is super peace and calm surrounding here. We sit at the recreation area nearby the lake to enjoy the breeze from the lake and the mountain. This is also a good place to check out some local birds and local botanic plantation. There are huge sweet corn plantation not too far from the lake too. #lake #peace #calm #mytripvlog
Small Town, Big Flavor: The Bird’s Nest Noodle Everyone Orders
Some traditions don’t shout — they quietly endure in small towns, kept alive by cooks who’ve spent decades mastering a single wok.
At this humble stall, the wok hei is unmistakable. Every plate carries that smoky, fire-kissed aroma — the kind you only get when steel meets roaring heat. You can literally smell the red-hot wok before the dish even hits the table.
Almost every diner was ordering their signature Bird’s Nest Noodle, so of course we followed suit — and it did not disappoint.
A crisp, golden disc of deep-fried noodles arrives first, crackling with heat. Then comes the moment of magic: a generous pour of thick, silky egg gravy that slowly seeps into the crunchy strands. The edges soften, the center stays lightly crisp, and every bite becomes a perfect balance of texture — fragrant, rich, and deeply satisfying.
Give it a minute to soak, and the sauce penetrates right to the core, transforming the noodle into a savory, umami-packed delight.
And the best part?
Less than RM10 per plate.
Old-school skill. Honest flavors. Prices from another era.

a day trip to the Taoism garden
Papan, named as meaning of “wood”, a tiny town in Pusing, Ipoh. This a new developed Taoism conceptual garden with cemetery. The Guan Yin statue is 39 feet and the concept is similar to four face Buddha. The botanic plantation are super gorgeous and well cut. There is a huge fountain at the corner of the garden and turn the air circulation to surrounding area. #taoism #botanic #fountain #guanyin
The best clay pot curry fish head ever!
Pusing,it’s mean “turning”, don’t surprise that is a town name where 15km drive from Ipoh city. We have heard about a super yummy clay pot curry fish head in GP food court. The food court is extremely clean and tidy. We ordered a medium size clay pot curry fish head, that cost RM30, a portion enough for 4 persons. Besides it, we order ginger vinegar braised meat, RM9, that’s is also recommended. #foodcourt # fishhead #yummy
