Khlong Hae Floating Market Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Floating Market in Hat Yai 🇹🇭
#winhkflight
📍Khlong Hae Floating Market, Hat Yai
We visited this famous floating market in Hat Yai during fasting month, and to our surprise it is not crowded at all, even on a weekend! There was a fleet of boats selling food (fries, meat skewers kind of thing) and drinks like Thai tea. This was such a unique experience as visitors will have to buy the food or drinks from the sidewalk. Love that some of the vendors sell drinks in a bamboo, how creative is that! The sidewalks were well lit up and bright, we managed to catch some buskers on the bridge as well. Besides, they have a small market selling clothing items, souvenirs, arts and craft items so be sure to check them out!
I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!
A wonderful evening @ Khlong Hae Floating Market
#weekendgetaways
Khlong Hae Floating Market is situated in Khlong Hae, Hat Yai District, Songkhla 90110, Thailand.
This market have quite a number of vendors selling Thai street food, drinks & souvenirs on the boats which moored by the riverside.
Khlong Hae Floating Market is about 6 km away from Hatyai Downtown, we called a grab car which cost TB150 to the market. We had eaten lots of local delights and bought some souvenirs from the market, really had a wonderful evening there!
The market is open on weekend only(Friday, Saturday & Sunday) from 1pm - 9pm.

Khlong Hae Floating Market
Best out of the best!! It is located at Hat Yai Thailand, about 20 minutes drive from the city centre, you can just open google maps or Waze and type Khlong Hae Floating Market.
The foods were delicious and cheap, as you all know, Thailand is famous for their foods. So many types of foods that we were not aware of, and many halal foods too so Muslim tourists do not need to be worry.#awesomepic #foodie #mytripvlog #tripblazers #urbanexplorer

So wonderful don't forget to take a picture statue. You have to queue to take photo here. The souvenir also reasonable cheap here and don't forget to try coconut ice cream. There are some food stall along the bleach area. There is hotel nearby if you have a need for accommodation. Public toilet available. Good to relax with some activities. #thailand #samilabeach #songkhla #
Samila Beach: Nice Area and shops.
Samila beach in Songkhla is a nice place to walk either on the beach itself or on the small streets besides, which include several restaurants, pubs, and shops. There is a golden mermaid statue where lots of tourists go to take pictures. While the beach is nice, it depends where you are travelling from because Thailand has lots of great beaches so if you want the best then you are more likely to find something better in Phuket instead, in part because the water in Songkhla is not as clear. But for this area of Thailand I found Songkhla to be well taken care of with many flowers, shrubs, and plants. It's a nice place for a relaxing afternoon.

Songkhla Old Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
👍🏻Cafe Amazon with Chinese elemebts
#timetotravel
My visit to Cafe Amazon in Songkhla Old Town was a delightful cultural experience. The cafe's design was infused with Chinese elements, creating an enchanting blend of cultures. Inside, the ambiance was adorned with a plethora of Chinese-style furniture, transporting visitors to a different era.
The highlight of the cafe was its central courtyard featuring a serene water pool, carefully aligned with feng shui principles. This attention to detail added a harmonious touch to the overall environment. Moreover, the second floor boasted a balcony, providing a perfect spot to enjoy a gentle breeze and relax.
Opting for a latte priced at 70 Baht, I settled into the serene atmosphere. The cafe's captivating design and tranquil setting created an oasis of calm, making it an ideal escape from the bustling world outside.

Ko Yo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Ko yo temple 👍🏻🙏🏼
#timetotravel
On a tranquil afternoon, I embarked on a thrilling adventure, riding my motorbike to the enchanting Ko Yo Island in Thailand. My destination was a high mountain temple that graced the island's summit, offering breathtaking views of the sea.
Upon arriving at the high mountain temple, I was immediately awestruck by the grandeur of the place. Perched atop the hill, it provided a panoramic vista of the azure ocean and awe-inspiring natural beauty. The mesmerizing scenery filled my heart with tranquility and serenity.
The interior of the temple was equally captivating. At the mountaintop, I discovered numerous Buddhist statues, each radiating profound religious faith and cultural heritage. Each sculpture was meticulously crafted, exuding a sacred aura.
Although still under construction, the place retained an air of mystery and excitement. I could sense the love and dedication of the builders towards this place, making my visit all the more special.
Adjacent to the temple, I stumbled upon a pavilion, offering a comfortable spot to rest. Sitting there, I closed my eyes, took in the fresh mountain air, and felt a profound sense of inner peace and serenity.
In the end, I departed from this sacred place, but I carried with me the inner tranquility and a deeper understanding of Thai culture. This journey not only allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the landscape but also the profound charm of religion and culture.
My journey to the high mountain temple on Ko Yo Island will forever remain etched in my memory, a cherished experience in my travel adventures. I look forward to future escapades, continuing to explore this beautiful world.
👏Wat Phra Non Laem Pho: Koh Yo's Sacred Gem
Located on Koh Yo, the Sleeping Buddha Temple, known as Wat Phra Non Laem Pho, offers an awe-inspiring and sacred experience. With its grand scale and pristine upkeep, the temple stands as a testament to devotion and tranquility.
As you approach the temple's entrance, a sense of reverence washes over you. The sheer magnificence of the architecture and the surrounding environment is breathtaking. The temple's spacious grounds are meticulously maintained, providing a serene and hygienic atmosphere for both visitors and worshippers.
The temple's popularity draws a multitude of visitors, all eager to pay their respects and soak in the spiritual aura. The vibrant energy of devotees lighting incense and offering prayers creates an ambiance of unity and devotion.
If you choose to visit in the afternoon, be prepared for the heat. Remember to apply sunscreen and stay hydrated to fully enjoy your time at the temple. The intense sun might challenge you, but the profound experience of being in the presence of the Sleeping Buddha will make it all worthwhile.
Wat Phra Non Laem Pho isn't just a temple; it's a place where history, culture, and spirituality converge. With its grandeur, serenity, and the mesmerizing Sleeping Buddha statue, this temple on Koh Yo is a must-visit for anyone seeking a meaningful and unforgettable journey into Thailand's rich heritage.

Enjoy Afternoon Tea with a view!
#afternoontea
if you happen to make a trip to Ko Yo and want a place to chill and have afternoon tea - this is a must visit place (Good Mountain Cafe).
The place is good for photo lovers like myself where you can take photos with swings, beach chairs lookalike, mountain standees, mountain and water views.
Drinks are also fragrant and tasty - decided to go with the flow and ordered Thai milk tea since we are at Thailand and also try one of their signature cake - coconut sponge cake which also comes with real coconut :)
Good view, drinks and food - check this place out for a nice afternoon tea.

Hatyai Street stalls Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Richmann Resort Hotel Hatyai
If I could give 10 stars instead of 5 I would. From the moment you park, the staff is there waiting to lend a helping hand. The check in went smoothly. The place is spotless and the rooms are beautiful!
That evening, there was a swarm of light bugs that were everywhere. The staff took care to spray the outside walls and remove the insects that had gotten in our room.
The next day, as we were enjoying breakfast, we decided at the last minute to stay another night.

Thanatsri Hatyai
Thanatsri Hatyai is located at 68 Thumnoonvithi Road, 90110, Hatyai District, and is open daily from 0700-1930. It is around 350 meters 4 minutes walk from Lee Garden Plaza Hotel.
Thanatsri Hatyai has been famous since the 60s, it is a great place for breakfast, if you love a bowl of noodles in the morning, it will not disappoint you.
I had ordered the egg noodles with mixed type soup, a mee hoon soup with beef and the popiah.
The popiah which is drizzled with a sweet chili sauce, the noodle soup can add the chili flakes and fish sauce to make it more spicy.
Betong Chicken Rice
Betong Chicken Rice is located at 30 Kimpradit Road, Hat Yai District, and is open daily from 0630-1400. It is around 500 meters 6 minutes walk from Lee Garden Plaza Hotel.
The highlight of this famous chicken rice place in Hat Yai is their aromatic chicken-shaped rice. Thai chicken rice is slightly different from the version found in Singapore, and is not as flavourful and oily.
Betong's rice still has a mild fragrance and the chicken is decent.
Qing Jie Restaurant
Qing Jie Restaurant is located at Thanon Lamai Songkraw 1, Hatyai District, and is open Tuesday to Sunday from 0730-1400. It is around 10 minutes 850 meters walk from Lee Garden Plaza Hotel.
Qing Jie Restaurant is one of the most popular stalls with the braised pork leg, crispy roast pork and pig organ soup.
I had ordered their signature dishes pig organ soup, crispy roast pork and a cup of iced coffee. Their soup is not so peppery, inside the soup there is lean meat, belly, pig blood, intestines with salted vegetables and enjoy it with a bowl of rice. The crackling fatty roasted pork was crisp in texture, is a must try when you visit here.
