PROS: New, clean, secluded, decent enough gym, quiet, boring, no chemical cleaner scents other than the towels and sheets that will stay on your skin 100%... I always bring my own due to this. Free floride water lol...đ Don't drink it.
CONS: The heavy room doors slam insanely hard, fast and would chop fingers off, blow out eardrums and shake the walls. I woke up every door slam, hard to not. Mind blowing to spend money building a Hotel and not consider to have quality safe quiet doors.
SOLUTION! I had to use some âwhite noiseâ to drown out the crazy door slams.
CASINO is a lifeless end of the line in purgatory vibe, but I'm not into that activity and wasn't there for that.
If you want a clean, new, mostly quiet nice hotel, this is a good choice if you find a good deal.
Service I never ordered food but the complementary tea and coffee are ok if stocked, NO Milk Alternatives and boring list of food to over pay for.

The hotel was swanky, and we loved our stay. The view from the pool was fantastic. The restaurant on site had an incredible service, and the service was great.
My hotel booking receipt included tax, but when I checked in, the staff wanted to charge me an additional 30 yuan. The next day when I checked out, I asked the staff again and they said they didn't charge me the 30 yuan, but my credit card still charged me.
The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are very clean and a nice size. The continental breakfast has a great variety. This is my second stay here and I highly recommend it.
No formal breakfast, but snacks, tarts, cakes, croissants, coffee. I can hungry. The room was very good, beyond my knowledge of the hotel for a night's rest at the airport. Hot water is enough, fast, hard flight, taking a hot bath is too comfortable. The hotel shuttle airport bus is shown in the picture, absolutely super punctual. I will often fly to Toronto in the future and choose this one for a break.
The Fairmont Chateau Laurier is an iconic landmark in Ottawa, offering a perfect blend of luxury, history, and charm. Guests can enjoy a guided tour of the hotel to uncover its rich heritage. Adding a unique touch to the experience is Stewart, the hotel's beloved canine ambassador. This friendly black Labrador retriever, once trained as a guide dog, now welcomes guests and has even inspired a children's book series titled âStewart: King of the Castleâ.
The hotel features a beautiful indoor pool with a classic, historical ambiance, making it a serene retreat after a day of exploration. Its prime location places you steps away from Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, and the bustling ByWard Market, with museums and other major attractions within easy walking distance. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, the Fairmont Chateau Laurier delivers an exceptional and memorable stay.

The room was spacious with a great view and a convenient location, within walking distance to the Eaton Centre and Union Station, surrounded by major corporations like KPMG. The deposit was refunded quickly; the pre-authorization was released instantly upon check-out, unlike other hotels in North America where it can take up to two weeks.
Overall, the hotel is pretty good. It's clean and well-equipped, though a bit old. The room size was appropriate, and the bathroom was quite spacious. The price was reasonable, offering great value for money. The location is also very convenient for sightseeing. Parking costs CAD 20 plus tax per night.
I chose this hotel for a layover and was quite satisfied!
Facilities: The facilities are well-equipped and clean. Drinking water is provided, and the bedroom and bathroom are spacious with a comfortable king-sized bed and a large TV. Some of the handles in the bathroom are a bit old, and you need to bring your own toiletries.
Cleanliness: Clean and tidy.
Environment: Quiet at night and close to the airport. There's a McDonald's nearby. However, it's quite far from the city center, making it suitable for transit but not for city sightseeing.
Service: The service is excellent, convenient, and efficient. The front desk staff handled check-in with fluent English, and you can check out as early as 5:30 AM. There's also a round-trip airport shuttle service.
Nice clean room... comfortable beds etc. great little workout room and indoor pool area.. the breakfast buffet was fantastic, very impressed! 4/5 starsââââ
(The only thing is the toilet didn't flush very easily for some reason.) đ€

Verdict
A well-balanced hotel offering consistent quality and a productive environment. Highly recommended for business travelers.
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for one night, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best short stays Iâve had in a long time. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations.
The host was absolutely amazing â extremely helpful, responsive, and professional throughout the entire stay. They answered all of my questions quickly, even after I had already checked in, which made the whole experience feel very smooth and stress-free. Itâs rare to find that level of attentiveness and genuine care.
The view was simply stunning. I loved the beautiful water view â waking up and seeing the water right outside was such a peaceful and memorable experience. It truly elevated the entire stay.
The unit itself was spotless and exceptionally clean. You can tell that a lot of care goes into maintaining the space. Everything felt fresh, organized, and very well taken care of.
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, which made it so convenient to prepare our own dinner. Having a proper kitchen setup really makes a difference, especially for a comfortable and relaxed night in.
The location is another huge plus. The area is fantastic â so many restaurants and bars within walking distance, and even grocery stores nearby. Being able to walk everywhere made the stay even more enjoyable and convenient.
Overall, this place is a solid 10/10. I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, well-located place to stay downtown. Truly a five-star experience!
MMumu999This location is super convenient for the airport, just across the road. It's great for dropping off your luggage and then taking an Uber to the city, which costs around $40, so you can explore the city unburdened. Canadian hotels typically don't provide complimentary bottled water, but this one does, and the front desk even gave me several bottles, which was a nice touch!
GGuest UserI took my kids to the hotel for a treat to get together and right in my hallway at 4am we got woken up by yelling and screaming they did kick them out but I was nervous and to he woken up like that was not necessary and when I told the front desk people they just said o they left but still it was not enjoyable and to get nothing for compensation I paid my money to go have a good night and that was not a good time I thought they could of said o come back on us or give me half off the next room something would of been appreciated
LLondon girlMy daughter and I stayed at Hotel Victoria as we had tickets for the Sabrina Carpenter concert and was perfect! The hotel was very clean and well decorated. Our room was perfect for our overnight stay. Everyone was their at the hotel was very friendly and it was a very easy check in and check out. The hotel was an 8 minute walk to Scotia Bank Arena with lots of things to do, see, and eat in the area. Sadly, we didn't get a chance to eat at the cute little restaurant on the main lobby, but I know we will definitely rebook here again and hopefully try it out! Overall awesome experience!!
GGuest User2 days no cleaning. They were supposed to come in the morning even when I was not there. But when I came back around 2pm things were the same, no cleaning.
GGuest UserThe place was perfect for what we needed. They gave us a joining room. We had 2 adultâs, one senior and 5 kids. We needed a stop over on our way to the north. Plus all the staff were friendly.
BBijinThe hotel is very close to the airport. It is not half an hour. It is about 60 knives. The hotel is very close to the city. The environment is very good. The front desk service is also very good. It is close to the TD Bank supermarket. There is breakfast but there are not many varieties. I have not changed the taste for a few days. The price is not expensive. Will stay next time and recommend friends and relatives đ
BBenjaminItâs near the airport, and they know it. As a result, the parking fare is quite high. Overall, the stay was average. One should be wary, however, that although the breakfast is complimentary, they expected a tip, which is absolutely ridiculous. How can one call it complimentary under such expectations?
