Came here on a popular weekend, the hotel was fully booked. The location is easy to find with navigation. Parking is available at the guesthouse, though the alley can be a bit tricky to navigate. Since we drove, but parking was a hassle, we mostly used taxis to get around. The street outside is full of wholesale shops and is constantly congested. There are also many late-night food stalls in the evening. The room was very clean, and the showerhead was large with great water pressure, making for a comfortable shower (though it's an electric water heater, so it only supports one person showering at a time; the second person has to wait). Shampoo and shower gel (P&G Rejoice brand) were provided. There’s also a rooftop where you can dry clothes, which is very convenient! Pic 4 shows the exaggerated Xinjiang-style decor. Pic 7 is the lovely alleyway outside the guesthouse. Pic 8 is the guesthouse lobby!

The hotel is super close to the scenic area. After hiking the Menket Ancient Trail, we were exhausted but could rest right after leaving the park. The front desk staff, Xiao Pu, was very welcoming. Since it's a bit off-season, she helped us get a room upgrade. We're not good with heat, so she even switched us to a cooler room. If you don't want to exert yourself too much, there are also great views near the hotel, perfect for watching a grassland sunset.

This hotel is amazing, with great staff and services. It’s well located with enough shops nearby if you need snacks. It’s also a few minutes drive from the Karez Garden experience and near other activities, such as the market. The site where the hotel is located is at a new place that imitates that of an ancient Uyghur city so it’s an attraction on its own. The room was very clean and comfortable, with all ameneties needed. I want to point out that the staff was very friendly and kind, and it was a real pleasure staying there. I will be staying there again if I return to Turpan and I will recommend the place to my friends. Thank you very much!

The owner was incredibly warm and hospitable! From the moment I first inquired about booking, they were prompt and patient with their replies. When we arrived, they greeted us like old friends, proactively helped us with our luggage, and thoroughly explained the room's amenities and the best local spots for food and fun. Anytime we had a question, they were there to help immediately, even recommending a stunning, lesser-known viewpoint for the sea that only locals would know about! Their genuine kindness and enthusiasm made the entire trip feel especially warm and comfortable.

After exploring Panlong Ancient Road and returning to National Highway 314, we arrived at the wetlands within minutes, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way. The tent facilities provided excellent comfort, ensuring a very good rest. We didn't bother going to the town across the way and opted to dine at the hotel's restaurant; the food was decent, and the staff quietly waited for us to finish at our leisure. It was a pity we didn't get to see the 'golden mountains' (sunlit snow peaks) in the morning, but being able to observe the snowy peaks from inside the tent without enduring the cold wind outside was a great alternative. For the home visit, a local young man named Saifeike Tagamili took us to his old house and resettlement home. He even let us pet an 8-day-old calf and stroke a sheep's rear end. He was very amusing and made the experience especially enjoyable.

Our stay at the Shar Starry Sky Glamping camp in Karajun Grassland was a truly rejuvenating and luxurious experience! The camp is nestled in the core area of a World Natural Heritage site, offering breathtaking views. From our window, we could see vast grasslands and continuous snow-capped mountains – the scenery was absolutely stunning. The starry dome we stayed in was incredibly impressive. It offered unobstructed panoramic views, allowing us to watch the grassland sunset right from our bed. At night, with no city light pollution, the Milky Way was clearly visible, and the provided telescope made stargazing super convenient – the kids absolutely loved it. Both the owner and the staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, responding 24/7. They even offered stargazing explanations. The camp provides excellent privacy, with ample space between each room, making it quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was rich and authentic, featuring traditional flatbread (nang) and fresh milk – the grassland cuisine was delicious. Away from the hustle and bustle, falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the view of snow-capped mountains – this is what a true luxury wilderness getaway should be. Highly recommended!

Hilton consistently delivers! From the lobby to the front desk, rooms, and even the restaurant, the service quality was always satisfactory. My only complaint: the Wi-Fi signal was terrible. A small suggestion: there are a few bald patches on the outdoor lawn that are a bit unsightly; hopefully, they can replant those. Also, there was noticeable litter on the lawn in the early morning.

Highly recommend! It's only a ten-minute drive from the airport, very quick to get to. The room is spacious and clean. They even provided a packed breakfast since I had an early flight. Overall, the service was great, and I'd definitely stay here again. Both the front desk staff and the airport shuttle driver were very patient, which I really appreciated. Thumbs up!👍

GGuest UserThis hotel truly maximizes comfort for high-altitude stays. The diffused oxygen supply is even and stable, making you feel as comfortable in the room as you would at sea level, so you don't have to worry about altitude sickness affecting your trip. The room was very clean and well-equipped, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a huge variety of options, catering to different dietary habits. I really enjoyed breakfast every morning. The room was clean and tidy, and the environment was quiet. The front desk lady checked me in quickly and was very enthusiastic, even upgrading my room for free. Once you stay here, you won't want to go anywhere else!

JJill CassandraA Hidden Gem That Feels Like Coming Home Tucked away in the embrace of raw, untouched nature, MuseNomad Retreat is the kind of place that feels almost too beautiful to be real — like stepping into a postcard. Yet behind the picture-perfect setting is something even more special: the kind of warmth and care that turns a stay into a memory. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. The owners go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at ease. One gesture I’ll never forget — I was rushing for a tour and hadn’t managed to press my clothes. Though there’s a laundry room available, the owner personally helped me iron them, refusing any payment. That small act of kindness stayed with me. We’ve stayed in many retreats claiming to offer luxury, but this place redefines what true luxury means. Here, you pay a 3-star rate and receive a 5-star experience in comfort, sincerity, and service. The rooms are cleaned daily with meticulous attention to detail — we were even touched to find our own tea and coffee sachets neatly arranged by housekeeping. Meals were another highlight. The food has that unmistakable home-cooked feel — warm, nourishing, made with care. When they learned I don’t eat beef or mutton, the kitchen prepared special dishes just for me, without a fuss. That kind of consideration is rare and deeply appreciated. And how could I forget Tian Tian — the gentle, lovable golden retriever who quietly added to the homey atmosphere. Her presence made the stay even more special, like having a sweet companion always nearby. MuseNomad Retreat isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to truly rest. Of all the accommodations we’ve experienced across our travels, this one touched us the most. As our three nights came to a close, I felt a genuine sadness — a quiet wish that we could stay just a little longer. If you’re looking for a restful, heartfelt escape where nature, comfort, and kindness meet, this is the place. MuseNomad Retreat is not just somewhere we stayed — it’s somewhere we’ll remember fondly, and miss dearly.

GGuest UserI had such a wonderful stay here and truly want to thank all of the staff for making my trip so special. First of all, the hospitality was beyond amazing. As a foreigner who cannot speak Chinese at all, I was honestly a little nervous at first. However, every staff member tried their best to help and welcome me warmly, which touched me deeply. I would especially like to thank a staff member named Yi. She was the only person who could communicate with me fluently in English, and she helped me with absolutely everything during my stay. Because of her kindness, I never once felt uncomfortable or isolated here despite the language barrier. I would honestly give her 10000/100! The accommodation itself was also excellent. The room was very clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything I needed. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the peaceful atmosphere allowed me to rest perfectly every night. Another thing I loved was the variety of activities offered here. Everything was amazing , horseback riding, delicious hot pot meals, and even professional photography sessions. It was my first time riding a horse, so I felt a little nervous at the beginning, but the staff took such good care of me and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the experience. Most importantly, I was deeply impressed by the culture here. It felt so warm and heartfelt. I truly love your culture. At night, there was a campfire gathering where local staff sang songs and danced together. It was such a joyful and unforgettable experience for me. In conclusion, if I ever visit Xinjiang again, I will definitely come back and stay here. Thank you so much to every staff member for your hard work and kindness. You made me genuinely happy throughout my entire stay.

Yy3nch1ngWe booked the guest rooms, which are actually a “盲盒” concept where you get whichever room is available upon check-in. Luckily, we were upgraded to wooden cabins with two rooms each. Since I booked 3 rooms, they arranged 2 wooden cabins for us. Each cabin came with two independent bedrooms with attached bathrooms, plus a shared living room. We absolutely loved it because we could gather and spend time together in the living room. We even had steamboat there one evening, which made the stay feel extra cozy, lovely, and convenient. There was also a huge open area in front of the cabins, but unfortunately the wind during our stay was too strong for us to sit outside. In the evening, sheep were grazing right outside our unit. On good weather days, you can even see Sayram Lake and the snow mountains directly from the cabin, which was really beautiful. The cabins are spread across a large area, so you do need to walk to your unit, but the pathways are properly paved and easy to walk on. Our cabin was about 200m from the car park. Special shoutout to the staff, Hemu and Dan Ni Er, who were extremely helpful. They used their small transport buggy to help move our luggage during check-in and check-out. Since we were travelling with elderly family members who had difficulty walking, they also kindly gave them rides to and from the cabin, which we truly appreciated. Highly recommended for those looking for a different and more memorable experience compared to a normal hotel stay.

SSoulful Traveler 心靈行旅# Shanshan Kumtag Desert Luxury Hotel: A Tender Secret in the Deep Desert The desert is lonely, but at this luxury hotel on the edge of the Kumtag Desert in Shanshan, that solitude becomes a poetic experience. Golden sand dunes undulate silently, like the breath of the earth. Here, time slows to a crawl, and the world becomes nothing but the desert, the starry sky, and the throbbing of the soul. The tents, nestled in the desert, look like an ancient caravan camp from afar, but upon closer inspection, the interior reveals a warm and luxurious atmosphere. Soft carpets and understated yet sophisticated lighting create a perfect blend of desolation and comfort. In the evening, we soaked in the hot water in the open-air bath, watching the sunset paint the dunes a rouge hue. In that moment, it felt as if the entire desert whispered to us. Dinner that evening was a feast we could never have imagined. The lamb short ribs, simmered for 36 hours, are tender yet not mushy. The tendon is crisp, and the aroma of ginger and chili dances on the tongue. The ox knee is soft and flavorful, and the rich tomato sauce is like a love poem from the Western Regions. The spiced aroma of the flatbreads and roast chicken carries the flavors of merchants and travelers from thousands of years ago. I can't help but wonder if in ancient tents, kings, princes, and generals sat together, drinking tea, eating meat, and discussing the country. After dinner, we drank tea under the stars. The cool desert breeze blew against our faces, but we didn't feel cold. The stars in the sky, distant yet close, seemed like the most gentle gaze on travelers. That night, the desert was no longer empty, but filled with our dreams and romance.

GGuest UserAs soon as you walk into the room, you can smell the fresh and natural smell without any peculiar smell, which makes you feel good~ The bed is clean and tidy, the sheets are white and flat, the quilt is neatly folded, and the pillows are soft and moderate. Lying on it feels like being surrounded by clouds, super comfortable! The floor is sparkling clean, with no dust or debris, making it easy to walk around. The bathroom is also dry, with no water stains or musty smell, and the toiletries are placed in an orderly manner, making it super convenient to use! And oh, those little details, like the curtains and tablecloths are all clean and free of stains and wrinkles, which really makes people feel super comfortable! I will come to this B&B again next time!

GGuest UserI visited just before the May Day holiday. The guesthouse's location is excellent, with a view of the Nalati scenic area right across the river. The owner confirmed our arrival time and dining preferences in advance. Even though we arrived close to 1 AM, they still had the chef wait to prepare a warm meal for us. The guesthouse has many small animals; in the morning, if you open the curtains, you might spot a cat named Xiao Jiu on the balcony, and opening the door could lead you to a big, fluffy rabbit, as well as a dog named Da Xiong. When there are more guests, the guesthouse also hosts bonfires. The multi-talented owner transforms into a resident singer, inviting guests to sing and dance along, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The owner even gave us a souvenir when we left. By the way, Nalati is incredibly beautiful, and I'll definitely come back! And when I do, I'll stay at Luxury Retreat Guesthouse again!

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the desert and has a good location and convenient transportation. There is convenient parking downstairs and plenty of charging stations. The room is clean and spacious, with a humidifier, so it doesn't feel too dry because it's close to the desert. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, with good sanitary conditions. The furniture and bedding are all new and clean, but unfortunately the TV cannot be projected. The service attitude of the sister at the front desk was very good. She upgraded the room type for free. The breakfast was a buffet breakfast at the hotel next door with a rich variety. Highly recommended for travelers visiting the Kumtag Desert!
