The hotel is on the Gaia side of Porto, but it’s still in a convenient location. The room is clean and spacious, and there’s nothing much to complain about.
That said, in my opinion the room feels very “empty.” It’s quite dim, with minimal decor and few amenities—mostly just open space. It’s best suited for a short stay overnight. Overall, it’s still good value for the price.
The location is very centralised, making it extremely convenient to walk to the nearby attractions. We got upgraded to a room with a balcony which was lovely, and everything else about the room was just about perfect too. Super well upkept, maybe cos it’s relatively new too but the bathroom was very clean with zero mold spots. Water pressure was strong while the wifi and aircon / heater worked well. The only con was that the basin seemed a little choked with the water going down pretty slowly, but it wasn’t a major issue for us.
I really loved this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the front desk service was excellent. They offered luggage storage, complimentary lemonade, and even egg tarts. As for the facilities, the mini-fridge wasn't very effective, but the shower facilities were fantastic. My only complaint is that the location is a bit out of the way; it's a five-minute walk to the bus stop.
Experience was short, but I found the space very clean, sympathy in the service, open reception for 24 hours, free coffee at any time of the day ...
The only negative point was even the noise-making bed, every time I moved.
Situated on the edge of a touristy district, but near areas that felt more authentic and lived in by locals. They were very nice at the desk. We were happy the room had a fridge and coffee machine. The design and colors were pleasing and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again with my husband, but opt for a larger room next time. The room was cramped. Coat hooks near the door would have been useful.
We checked in, there was no wait, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great touch that the staff member offered to show us a map of Porto and the key things he would recommend doing in the city.
I can’t stress enough just what an excellent location this hotel is in, no public transport is required. All the key sights are within a short walking distance. It is also very walkable from the train station.
The room was great, with adequate lighting, a huge TV and some excellent shower products. The bed was relatively firm and comfortable.
We enjoyed breakfast for the 3 nights. There had been a miscommunication about the price of this, however, the hotel manager was very helpful in rectifying this via email communication after the stay.
The young female staff member we engaged with for breakfast each morning was also very friendly, warm yet professional.
As IHG Platinum members we decided to try this Hilton property and were not disappointed. It was excellent from start to finish and the prompt reply and rectification from the hotel manager is testament to the care, detail and excellent management of this property. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Porto.
This hotel is absolutely exquisite! I loved it. The lobby seems to open to the public for dining in the evenings, but the entire hotel feels very secure, with key card access to the upper floors and a safe in the room! Compared to the tiny, overpriced rooms you often find in Europe, this hotel room felt exceptionally spacious! Plus, the front desk offers delicious egg tarts and wine! Both tasted fantastic!! The wine was very similar to what we've had at wineries! Every staff member at the front desk was incredibly friendly and welcoming!
The room was very satisfactory. Clean and comfortable. There is free parking. It is very convenient. The breakfast variety is quite rich. I always book this hotel on business trips. The price-performance ratio is very high. I would recommend it.
The hotel is conveniently located near Benedict Station, making it easy to get to all the attractions. The hotel itself is beautiful, with classic European decor that I love, and the room even has a small, elegant terrace.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room was broken the first night, and the hotel was fully booked for that day, so we had to spend the night in a room without air conditioning. Luckily, there were other rooms available the next day, and the staff were very helpful in arranging rooms for us; I'm very grateful to them.
