Hotel room and amenities were good. But the staff was exceptional they were very helpful and accommodating our super early check-in. This is how hotel staff used to be, highly recommend. Location is within minutes of grand Central an multiple subway stations.

Really great hotel. The service was OUTSTANDING!! They gave great recommendations, recognized us when we walked in every day. Wonderful! We had the one bedroom and it was huge! Too big for what we needed but it was nice. The room is starting to show its age with wear and tear on furniture but I’d still recommend the hotel. Great location to walk to all the top attractions in Manhattan.

The Asian man being the counter at check in was not friendly at all. He also took a long time to check everyone in. There was a long line and only he was working. We were tired and when we went upstairs to our room, the key didn’t work. We had to go back downstairs and wait again, only for the man to tell us he gave us the wrong room number.
On our last day, the fire alarm went off at 1am while we were sleeping. We called downstairs and no one answered. We evacuated the room only to find out it was a false alarm. There was no announcement. Just one person behind the desk telling people who asked him. The fire department shut down the elevators so we had to wait to go back to our rooms. We got very little sleep after that.
The hotel is right next to Central Park. Outside the window is the land of New York, where every inch of land is worth a lot of money. Most attractions can be reached on foot. Valet parking is convenient and fast. In addition, there is a subway station downstairs, so transportation is convenient. The hotel looks very old, but it is very well maintained. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with an old-money aesthetic. Water and various special snacks are delivered every day, which is very considerate and interesting. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, and there is never any garbage or dirty towels piled up in the house. The suites have a living room, kitchen, and double bathrooms, and the space is much larger than hotels of the same level. The staff is enthusiastic but not excessive. The doormen, front desk staff, and guest rooms are very friendly and are always ready to provide convenience for customers. I will come again after staying for a week.

Beyond its proximity to Times Square, the experience was honestly pretty mediocre. The initial room we were given faced the street and was extremely loud, with the constant roar of traffic and revving engines late into the night. We were moved to a room on the seventh floor, which overlooked a mechanical floor and also generated continuous noise. Frankly, in Manhattan, I wouldn't recommend staying near Times Square. It's simply too crowded with tourists, dirty, chaotic, and loud, unless seeing Broadway shows is your absolute priority. There's a mandatory $40 daily 'resort fee,' but it offers no amenities or services to justify the cost. The only 'perk' we found was being able to claim two pieces of fruit from the downstairs bar each day.

I booked a single room with shared bathroom. Tiny room to be expected. The WC and shower were just steps away so it is not that inconvenient. Clean. But I wish they would have a sink in the toilet to wash hands before we step out of the toilet. Shower area a little small for tall and big people.
Nothing fancy about the hotel but I do like the outdoor garden. Quite nice.
Location is great. There are many eateries within walking distance. And there is a park just opposite the hotel. An oasis with waterfall and all.
Staff at counter was not very friendly at all. I asked about my Amazon delivery and they said they were dismissive.
The staff were amazingly pleasant, the hotel was so cool and clean, the room was so modern… I loved the whole thing! My only negative was that the conditioner in the bathroom was empty but if I was staying for more than one night and if I asked for it to be filled, I guarantee they would with no hesitation. Such a great hotel and a quick walk to Barclays Center!
Yes, the pods are small, but they are also modern, functional and well-priced. With the subway a very short walk away, it rarely took more than 20 minutes to get to Midtown Manhattan. Moreover, there were great restaurants and grocery stores just minutes away. This is a great introduction into Brooklyn and a more affordable option to staying in Manhattan.
Right next to the airport, it's less than 10 minutes' walk from the airport. If the weather is bad, you can call and their pick-up service can be arranged at any time. This must be praised. I contacted them at around 11 o'clock in the evening, and the car came in a few minutes. Recommended!

SShane CanadianI was fine with the hotel but it is not for everyone.
The hotel is a bit dated. The room is quite simple but the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and there was a good selection of tv channels. However, there is some deep cleaning required as the heater intake was VERY dusty (see image). The shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure. The towels were fine for me, but they are quite thin and small. When checking in, I noticed shampoo packets were available at the front desk, but only hand soap packets were provided in the room. Water was not provided in the room nor was there a water dispenser to fill a water bottle. The hotel may want to consider providing a water dispenser in the lobby. The hotel description gives the impression that parking is not available though there was ample parking. It is near a highly developed area with lots of restaurants nearby. However, it is in a bit of a secluded area so it is best suited for travelers with a car. I was a bit disappointed that my room was not available at 430pm (check-in is at 3pm) but the hotel was short staffed that day. The staff I interacted with were polite and tried their best to be helpful.
The main concern people may have is safety. The hotel is at the end of a quiet street and it is brightly lit outside of the hotel. However, many of the rooms open outdoors and there was no security staff visible at the hotel. It is certainly a budget hotel and many of the clients had a rough appearance. I was fine but some may not be comfortable, especially single female travelers.
I would consider booking again but only for a quick and inexpensive stay.
潘潘The hotel is very stylish and stylish, the bathroom is well designed for wet and dry separation, and the room size is large. It is 500 meters from the shopping center and the window can be seen. The location of the hotel is right next to the high speed and it is very convenient to drive.
AAshley 29At the corner of Canal and Bowery, the hotel is well-located on the edge of Chinatown, close to the Manhattan Bridge, and many eateries and coffee shops. My room had an unblocked view of Midtown and the Empire State building in the distance. There is a rooftop bar which offers panaromic views. My double-bed room was spacious, as was the bathroom. The mattress though was too soft and sinking. There is a working space on the second floor, with lots of natural light, games, sofas, and free flow of coffee and tea until 4 pm, which provides a space for guests to chill and hangout without having to splurge on such things outside. The front desk staff and concierge are always around and very helpful, whether it is to offer to store my luggage until my late flight out, or to call a cab. The hotel provides a coffee-maker, tea kettle, dental kit, room slippers, etc, on request, which is actually a practical move towards sustainability and less wastage.
GGuest UserMy son and I had the most incredible experience! I would recommend the William Vale to all my friends and family. The balcony views at sunset in the summer are absolutely stunning. The hotel itself offers many thoughtful amenities including a welcome message with your name on the television upon arrival. I honestly only have one small complaint and that was the cleaning service. We called about having the room cleaned and actually spoke with the individual who said she would come back at the time we requested but she never returned. Other than that one little hiccup everything went smoothly from the time we pulled up to valet to unload our luggage. There is NO better hotel to stay in Williamsburg aside from the William Vale.
BBENGWe check-in very late around 4:00am due to our late flight and 1 missing piece of luggage. Got our room promptly, but the bath tub was choke and dirty. Tried to change our room, but was told that there was no other available room, but they sent someone to fix it in the morning.
The hotel is pretty basic, more for people with own transport.
Location wise, there is not much around the area, but we found Denny's within walking distance. There are a couple of other eating places as well, though we didn't try them.
GGuest UserThis hotel is amazing! The rooms are very spacious. Everything is super clean and the highlight is the location. I usually don’t write reviews but this time I have to because I’m so glad I stayed at this hotel. I could easily walk everywhere but it was still calm around so it was truly amazing. 10/10 would recommend to everyone! The rooms have very big windows and you have a super beautiful view of the Empire State Building from the room, even though I did not book a specific room. Overall super happy! The staff was very friendly too and many things are complimentary such as wine hour and tea in the mornings!
YYukaWhen traveling abroad, I sometimes worry about the cleanliness of the water areas, but I was very satisfied with the clean shower rooms here.
There are three toilets on the floor separate from the rooms, and there is also a water server, which I thought was convenient.
I'm glad I chose this hotel for my first trip to New York.
I will use it again when I travel.
AAnonymous UserThe location is very good, and you can see the Empire State Building directly from the room window. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but Koreatown is very close, and there is Chinese food. There is also a Xi'an noodle restaurant nearby, which is quite authentic. I went there to eat Korean food and Korean barbecue several times, and it was generally good.
JJIANThe hotel is conveniently located for transit or return. But a little distance from the city, you need to drive. Then it is more old. But the price is good, breakfast is OK.
BBoriykhonWe had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, close to major attractions like Hudson Yards and Times Square, with easy access to the subway. The rooms are modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with a fresh and inviting design. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a great choice for comfort, style, and convenience in NYC. Highly recommended!
