彪哥On the way to Schilthorn, we stayed in a small mountaintop village called Murren, located on the west side of the Jungfrau region, facing Grindelwald in the east. It is a small mountain village on the cliff of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Murren, full of Alpine style, has well preserved the simple Alpine village atmosphere and fresh air because gasoline motorcycles are prohibited from driving. The town of MURREN has a history of 100 years. The houses are built on the mountain. Most of the old houses are made of wood. Every household decorates their homes with wood carvings, flowers, animal skulls, or graffiti. The colorful shutters are the icing on the cake. The small animal sculptures beside the drinking pool, in the bushes, and beside the residents' doors are super cute, adding a bit of childishness. Walking in the quiet town of MURREN, the proud snow-capped mountains are within sight, and the Schilthorn leads the direction of hikers. This place is so quiet and peaceful, I really hope to spend the rest of my life here...

TheForkUserWe are family of 6 people and we have been visiting LeMontBlanc since 7 years now. It is one of our favorites restaurants. Even the most picky person will be satisfied. The location is very good - you can see beautiful mountain panorama outside the windows. Inside is very cozy and elegant thanks to wood and stone. You feel good from the moment you walk in to the restaurant. But - let me tell you about the food! Every time the menu is different and prepared with vision and great taste. It’s always amazing to me how well and innovatively one can combine local and well known flavors - you can taste local fish and meat and then you taste oyster or scallop and everything fits and complements each other. We especially love the little challenge in the tasting menu - you are tasting the dish and have to guess what the ingredients are (we are always surprised by some of the component!) To sum it up - the food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and professional, decoration is warm and welcoming - the only sad thing is that you can’t stay there forever. We are regular customer and we are very proud of it! See you again in next year!
