Tsuen Wan Lavender Field Emu Bay Lavender Farm located on Kangaroo Island, South Australia. The lavender farm started in February 2001 and was just a small garden with five different lavender varieties. The first harvest was in summer of 2003/04, and a total of 1000 bunches of lavender were harvested. After processing, about 13 kilograms of dried lavender are produced. Year after year, the farm now harvests about 8,000 bouquets a year and produces 150 kilograms of dried flowers. The farm was recently expanded in the winter of 2009 to its current size, with Lavender Farm's existing stores featuring product rooms, cafes and light dining areas to meet the needs of a growing number of visitors. All lavender products here are processed in their own farms. About 3 kilometers south of the lavender field in Tsuen Wan is Discovery Lagoon campground, Discovery Lagoon is a seasonal lake, surrounded by sheep, and the scenery there is also very special. We went to Kangaroo Island by boat from Adelaide, stayed at the Far Away Escape B&B in Kingscote, Kingscote, rented a car on the island for three days and two nights, and had a great time!
