狭义上的秦岭，仅限于陕西省南部、渭河与汉江之间的山地。广义的秦岭，西起昆仑，中经陇南、陕南，东至鄂豫皖-大别山以及蚌埠附近的张八岭，是长江和黄河流域的分水岭。
