Romantic Hotels in Guangxi, China

Check-in was on the 13th floor, which is also where the afternoon tea, *luosifen* (snail noodles), and coffee are served – basically everything is on the 13th floor. I booked a king-sized bed on the 9th floor. As shown in picture 1, the view was quite nice, but the room was a bit small. Since I was with my elderly parents and wanted a bathtub, I asked the butler if we could switch to a twin room on the 3rd floor. As shown in picture 2, the view wasn't as good as on the 9th floor, but the room was much more spacious, which was great. Room facilities: Smart features, with a TV that can cast from your devices, and a smart toilet. Cleanliness: Very good and clean. Service: Upon arrival, the concierge helped us with our luggage and took us to the 13th floor. The front desk lady added me on WeChat and provided excellent service, helping us switch to a bigger room. When we went out, we asked for amenities to be left in the room, and they provided quite a lot. I got motion sickness and threw up in the sink at night. The front desk lady had an auntie come to clean, and she wasn't at all impatient, saying it was no problem. She cleaned it very thoroughly, which was wonderful! I was feeling too unwell to help my parents with the self-service laundry, but even late at night, the front desk lady was still available and came to assist. The next day, a robot delivered the items to our room door. Overall, the stay was quite good. Due to my health, I threw up several times at night, so I only had some fruit for breakfast. Breakfast: Generally enough to fill you up, but not many drink options. I mainly wanted iced orange juice, haha. Special thanks to 😍😍: The concierge, the front desk lady, and the housekeeping auntie! The front desk lady in picture 9 was amazing! I hope her boss gives her a bonus! 🍗

LIANGSU LS Hotel Yangshuo Review (April 2026 – Family Stay, 270° Family Panorama Room, 55 sqm) Pros: 1. The hotel staff reach out via WeChat even before arrival, promptly addressing any questions or special requests about your stay. 2. The property consists of several buildings with distinct designs, most of which appear newly built. 3. Rooms are clean and equipped with modern control systems.Rooms are spacious and generally well-maintained, with excellent outdoor views depending on your booking.The air conditioning is user-friendly and easy to adjust. 4. Food-wise, breakfast offers a decent variety but remains the same daily. The restaurant (for lunch, dinner, or room service via QR ordering) serves high-quality dishes at reasonable prices, though the menu is somewhat limited. Afternoon tea and evening desserts can be delivered to your room—the evening soup dessert is especially good. Complimentary canned drinks are replenished daily. Overall, you won’t go hungry even if you choose to stay in the hotel instead of going out. 5. Enjoy stunning mountain and field views while having breakfast. The open outdoor area is beautifully designed, facing the mountains, and includes a mini farm, swings, photo spots, and swimming pools. 6. Staff are friendly and helpful, though quite strict—they consistently check if guests are registered when returning from outings. 7. A complimentary 30-minute photography session is included, with a professional photographer. The hotel also has a well-equipped studio and a selection of outfits to choose from. Cons: 1. The bathroom could be improved—there were some visible hairs on the floor, and there are no hooks for hanging clothes outside of the rack inside the shower area.

Out of all my travels in China, this was hands down the BEST hotel I’ve stayed at—and that’s saying a lot. From the moment we arrived, the level of warmth and genuine care from every single staff member stood out immediately. The front desk team was incredible—friendly, patient, and impressively multilingual, which made everything so much easier since my Chinese is limited. But what really made this place unforgettable were the people behind the scenes. The aunties who cleaned our rooms were honestly some of the kindest, most thoughtful people we encountered on our trip. They didn’t just do their job—they went above and beyond in ways that made us feel truly cared for. The kitchen staff were just as amazing. Every interaction felt warm and sincere. They even folded our laundry when we accidentally keft it in the dryer. And let’s talk about the breakfast—phenomenal. Not only was the quality outstanding, but the menu changed daily, which kept things exciting. If you’re debating whether to add breakfast to your stay… just do it. The overall vibe of the hotel is serene, peaceful, and elevated—it genuinely feels like a 5-star experience. And it always smells nice. Location-wise? 10/10. You’re within walking distance of many of Guilin’s main attractions, and right outside the entrance is a lively night market and shopping area. It’s the kind of convenience you don’t fully appreciate until you have it. I was booking for my family, which included three seniors, so my priorities for hotels were: location, cleanliness, safety, and accessibility. This hotel checked every single box—and then exceeded expectations in ways I didn’t even anticipate. If you’re considering where to stay in Guilin, pick this one 10/10. This is a genuine review written from someone who just stayed there and was traveling with her family from California :)

I highly recommend the Guolong Hotel! The biggest surprise was the huge parking lot – there's so much space that both family cars and business vehicles can park with ease, so you don't have to worry about finding a spot. The front desk service was absolutely excellent; the staff were warm and thoughtful, handling check-in quickly and efficiently. They even proactively offered tips for local attractions, which really enhanced the whole check-in experience!

The environment is quite good, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is delicious 😋, I especially love the Guilin rice noodles for breakfast. The room isn't big but it's well-designed. The bathroom is a bit small, so they used a diagonal sliding door, and a mirror next to the toilet visually expands the space. The shower has an overhead rain shower, which is quite hygienic. It's right next to榕湖 (Rong Lake), and I took a stroll to the spot where Huang Tingjian moored his boat at night. The lighting was magical, almost like a game – but I'm getting sidetracked! Overall, the surrounding environment is very pleasant and quiet.

Misty Guilin, truly lives up to its reputation! With a view right outside the window, stepping downstairs transports you into a picturesque scroll of mountains and rivers – distant peaks like painted brows, nearby waters hazy with mist, and swirling clouds that make you feel like you've entered an ink-wash fairyland. Choosing this place meant even a rainy day became a rare and beautiful experience. What was even more delightful was the hotel's service. The one-on-one butler was thoughtful and meticulous, ensuring everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. In the morning, that authentic bowl of Guilin rice noodles, with its rich卤香 (lu xiang - savory braised flavor), left a lasting impression. The room facilities were comprehensive, and the cleanliness was impeccable. This trip's perfect experience was set from the moment I first gazed out the window at the stunning view. Waking up in a misty haze and falling asleep surrounded by mountains and rivers – I wholeheartedly recommend this Guilin to anyone yearning for a poetic escape.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 15-minute walk from Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Pagodas. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and transportation is super convenient. The environment is elegant and clean. All the staff are very enthusiastic, and most importantly, the beds are incredibly comfortable. There's also a small soft play area on the 10th floor, which is highly recommended for families with children – a play area like that is more exciting than any scenic view for kids! 😂

Xixi Hot Spring♨️ has become a regular spot for us, and this is our first visit this year. We came as a family of four. They’ve built a new highway, so it's a short drive from the exit. Usually, we come during off-peak times, but this time we chose a weekend, so it was a bit crowded, though still acceptable. The price was about 200 yuan higher than usual. When booking, I requested a high floor and a quiet room, which they mostly accommodated. However, the non-smoking request was a bit awkward. I'm not sure if it was a neighbor upstairs, downstairs, or next door, but the smoke smell permeated our room. While we were in our private hot tub, the smell of smoke was constant and very unpleasant. We had to keep the door closed. It wasn't a big deal for the adults, but mainly for the child👶🏻. I can't blame the staff who assigned the room, nor can I stop people from smoking, as that's their freedom, so it was really awkward. Other aspects: Compared to our previous visits, there are more hot spring pools now. They've built many new buildings, the main entrance has been moved, and there are more children's entertainment facilities. The resort is growing larger. Room: The room was relatively clean, and the front desk staff were very friendly. We bought some local Nanxiang roast duck for a late-night snack. When we called the front desk at night to ask if they had a microwave, they offered to come to our room and help heat it up. The service was excellent and very enthusiastic. Outdoor Hot Spring: The small pools near the children's playground were a bit dirty, with a lot of large pieces of dead skin. It was quite disgusting. We didn't notice it at first, and our child even went in for a dip. We immediately made them take a shower. The other pools were quite clean, despite the large number of people. Buffet Dinner: This was my first time trying the buffet; previously, we always ordered à la carte at the hotel restaurant upstairs. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and the roast goose was absolutely amazing – crispy skin and great flavor. The oysters were also delicious, and there was an unlimited supply of short ribs. Basically, everything was there except for a limited selection of seafood, which only included shrimp🦐, calamari rings, and mussels. Buffet Breakfast: The variety was extensive, just like before, but there were only a few things I really wanted to eat. They had congee, noodles, and rice, but nothing new. I was quite disappointed that they didn't have steamed phoenix claws and spare ribs, which I think should be standard dim sum items. To sum it all up, it's pretty good! There are always some minor imperfections, and I look forward to improvements...

Beautiful & Peaceful 🌿🏯 We spent two wonderful nights here. 😊 What we loved: · They gave us a free room upgrade – a spacious room with a very large king bed. 🛏️ · Separate dining area, a traditional tea ceremony corner, and a walk-in wardrobe (perfect for suitcases and clothes). · Spacious bathroom with a freestanding bathtub, two sinks, and a shower. 🛁🚿 · Minibar with a fridge, kettle, and everything needed. Also a large balcony with a lounge chair and a drying rack. ☕🌿 · The hotel is located in a beautiful area – far enough from the center to enjoy peace and quiet and amazing views. Great for photo sessions (they even offer traditional costumes and a photographer). 📸🏞️ · We went to a concert and didn’t have time for dinner. We asked the hotel via WeChat to order some dishes for us, and they kindly agreed. After the concert, dinner was waiting for us in the room. 🍜🙏 · Later that night, the electricity went off in our room. We asked the reception for help, and they fixed it very quickly. ⚡🔧 Suggestion for improvement: · It would be helpful to install electric heated towel racks in the rooms – especially since it rains often here. That way guests can dry any type of clothing safely. 🧺✨ Overall, a truly peaceful and beautiful stay. Highly recommended for relaxation and even a photoshoot! 🌸

This hotel is the pinnacle of luxury in Nanning! The most astonishing 'cloud experience' I've ever had. The 68th-floor sky lobby is incredibly impressive, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the 87th-floor room are absolutely breathtaking. You can lie in bed and see the entire city, the Yong River, and the Ferris wheel. The bedding is super soft, the bathroom is spacious, and every detail is well thought out. Our butler, Jenna, provided excellent and attentive service, even helping us with a late check-out. The front desk staff, Colin, Jackson, Tiki, and Iris, were all fantastic. The 71st-floor sky pool is a must-visit. The location is perfect, with direct access to MixC Mall. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanning!
