Posted on Aug 16, 2026|Desert Classic Twin Room
Guest UserI managed to snag a classic twin room last minute, and it turned out to be perfectly spacious for one adult and one child. The room was large, and the cleanliness was impressive. The butler service was very responsive, and the laundry service was a standout – my clothes were washed and dried within three hours, returned warm and fragrant. The only downsides were that both breakfast and dinner at the buffet restaurant were mediocre, and the hotel prices in general were quite high.
We tried the hotel's surfing car, off-road vehicle, and self-drive desert go-karts. We rode the surfing car three times, and one round cost over a thousand yuan, which is even more expensive than Disneyland! However, I still highly recommend the hotel's surfing car; it actually offered decent value and was much more fun than the one at Shapotou. We also tried the hotel's spa, but I felt the price was a bit inflated – 1880 yuan wasn't significantly better than what you'd get for a few hundred yuan elsewhere. Also, the sand play area wasn't as good as at the Starry Sky Hotel; for kids who want to slide on the sand, I'd recommend the Starry Sky Hotel instead. Overall, though, I was very satisfied and would consider a second visit if I have the chance.

This was my third visit to Tianmu Hot Spring in Manpu Town. We arrived at Manpu Town around 9:00 AM, booked a room after inquiring, and the staff were incredibly friendly, checking us in immediately. After dropping off our luggage, we headed straight to the hot springs. We played until noon, then had a buffet lunch upstairs. The prices were reasonable: 69 RMB for adults, 49 RMB for children (half price), and free for children under 1.2 meters. After lunch, we spent some time in the children's playroom, children's cinema, and sauna on the third floor. I fell asleep while watching a movie in the children's cinema, and the staff member Gao Binbin was especially kind, bringing us several towels to cover ourselves, worried we might get cold. After waking up, we went back to the hot springs for a while longer. We didn't return to our room until evening. The children were very happy. They didn't even get to see the outside shows. We'll definitely come back next time.

LeCarpI stayed at Hotel S Tent the day before and then Hotel Desert Star the next day. Staying at both consecutively, the contrast was quite noticeable.
Let's start with Desert Star. The room conditions were indeed better than Hotel S Tent, especially the water supply, which was more comfortable, and the dining was slightly better too. However, since it's in the desert, one shouldn't have too high expectations for food anyway.
What really affected the experience were the activities. Desert Star clearly has more guests, so many activities felt like an 'assembly line'. For example, during the morning 'find plants and animals' and 'collecting' activities, no tools were provided for collecting. In the end, if you didn't buy the rather inconvenient photo frame, the collected items were just put into a plastic bag, and that counted as completing an activity 🥲. The actual experience was quite different from what I had imagined.
The stargazing at night was not something we participated in, as it was cloudy during our two days in Zhongwei, so I won't comment on that part.
Another noticeable difference was service efficiency. For internal shuttle services, I felt Hotel S Tent was more prompt, probably because it has fewer guests. Also, for walking to other places to play or eat, Hotel S Tent's location is more convenient and closer.
In terms of price, Desert Star is roughly 3-4 times the price of Hotel S Tent. Considering the rooms, dining, activities, transportation, and overall experience, I personally don't feel that this price difference brought a proportional increase in the experience.
So, if I come to Zhongwei again, I will most likely stick with Hotel S Tent. (I don't mind the wind noise too much)

A very comfortable stay! The staff were very friendly and it was located in a wonderful part of town. The room itself was comfortable and clean. I especially loved the complimentary shampoo and conditioner; they were so refreshing! The breakfast was also very delicious with lots of great options and flexible seating. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful Suzhou-style garden hotel. The landscaping was truly amazing, even for a designer like me. The rooms are also wonderful, and the private courtyard is exquisite. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and I rarely sleep so soundly!

From the moment you step into the ”hotel”, you are surrounded by meticulous service. The front desk staff checked in quickly with a professional and friendly attitude, and also introduced the hotel's special services and surrounding attractions intimately. Welcome fruit is prepared in the room, and the details are full of care.
In terms of catering, the restaurant waiter's detailed introduction and personalized recommendation of the dishes makes the dining experience more pleasant. When leaving the store, the staff not only assisted in carrying luggage, but also presented local special gifts. This warmth makes people feel more cordial.
Overall, the hotel's service team has transformed every interaction into an unforgettable experience with a professional, meticulous and sincere attitude, and truly ”home away from home”.

PangxielvxingA hotel I really like. Although the location is a bit remote, it doesn't matter because I drove here. It's not far from Huaiyuan Night Market.
Let's talk about the hotel room. It opened in January this year and was just launched on Ctrip in April. It's very new, but it doesn't have any smell. The room design is very beautiful and the space is very large. The only regret is that there is no view outside the window, but there is a large outdoor terrace.
The toiletries smell of lavender, I like it very much.
The most important thing is that since I booked two nights on 4.29 and 5.2 respectively, but the price difference was very large, the front desk manager helped to upgrade the room for free, I was so happy🥳

Guest UserThe front desk lady is warm and patient, and can communicate and deal with problems in time, 100 points. The room infrastructure is complete, there are sofas, tables, comfortable and soft mattresses, and automatic curtains are closed. There is also a good viewing experience with a giant curtain. The bathroom is well equipped, the toilet is clean, and it is equipped with two disposable bath towels and face towels. Toothbrushes are suitable for all kinds of travel, such as couples, parents and children. Equipped with elevators, convenient transportation nearby, soundproof environment without noise. There are also a variety of delicious restaurants and delicacies nearby, full of fireworks, in summary, is a hotel with high cost performance.

This stay was absolutely perfect! The environment was clean and tidy, and the common areas were fresh and spacious. We booked a family suite, and the room was huge with excellent natural light and ventilation. The cleanliness was exceptional, even the hard-to-reach corners were spotless. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – so we slept incredibly well. The staff were gentle and thoughtful, responding quickly to any requests. It's super convenient for dining, drinking, and getting around. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. Highly recommended, this is definitely my top choice for accommodation in the area!

Posted on Feb 23, 2026|Luxury Hot Spring Room (Double Bed)
Guest UserFirstly, as a local customer who enjoys hot springs, I must say that Taoli Jiangnan's hygiene and water quality are excellent. I booked a large, spacious, and clean room for the Chinese New Year. The attention to detail was impressive, and the service was excellent and welcoming. The private hot spring bath in the room offered great privacy, allowing you to watch TV on a large screen while soaking. However, there was a problem with the bath's drainage, preventing it from filling with water. We had to call a repairman, who promptly arranged for us to use a separate private hot spring room downstairs. Although it involved some back and forth, it wasn't a major inconvenience. This was very commendable! The only downside was the weak water pressure from the showerhead, making it difficult to wash long hair. The most problematic aspect was the food. Previously, when I went to the hot spring buffet on weekends, the selection was always limited, with many items missing. During the Chinese New Year, it was even worse; the hotel was overwhelmed with customers. Their handling of peak season emergencies was very poor. Because the hot spring hotel is located in a relatively remote area, finding other food options is inconvenient. The hotel's inadequate food service is a major drawback. Then there's the breakfast, which is even more outrageous. Between 8:00 and 9:30, by 8:50, everything was gone. Only one egg remained, and the soy milk and milk were completely empty. Putting aside the taste, at least offer something for customers to eat, something to fill them up. Everything was gone. For a room rate of over 1000 yuan, this breakfast is truly indescribable. If it's a tourist visiting temporarily, they might not come back. Therefore, the hotel needs to improve its catering. Buffets are not cheap, and the ingredients need to be of high quality, especially during holidays like Chinese New Year. Knowing that guest numbers increase during this time, it's not worth it to let the catering fail to keep up with demand and negatively impact the overall experience.
