I bought an eSIM for Japan on Trip.com, and it was the best decision. My internet connection was activated immediately upon landing at the airport. The network speed (I was on SoftBank/Docomo) was excellent, and videos loaded instantly. In Japan, you can't get by without good internet—you constantly have to check train schedules on Google Maps and plot complex subway routes. With this eSIM, the connection never failed, even in the Shinkansen tunnels. A huge plus is that the purchase process takes just a couple of minutes and you can pay by card in the app. I highly recommend it!
