The Brabofontein is located in the main square of Antwerp, in front of the city hall. The opening ceremony of the sculpture was held in 1887. Jef Lambeaux is aware of the placement of the bronze fountain.
📍Blabo Fountain is located at the entrance of Antwerp City Hall, the central location of the main square, which is particularly conspicuous.
🌟The Baroque fountain sculpture built in 1887. This sculpture tells the origin of the name of the city of Antwerp and is also a landmark.
🌟Antwerp means broken palm in Dutch. The sculpture is a grumpy young man who cut off the claws of a giant. Legend has it that the giant imposed high tolls on passing ships, otherwise he would be severed. Brabo defeated the giant, cut off the giant's palm, and restored the flow of the river.
The Brabo Fountain is located in the center of the main square and is a popular check-in spot. When I went there, the weather was quite cold and there was no water coming out of the fountain, but I could come closer and have a close encounter.
There is a fountain in the center of the city square. This fountain is very magnificent, the fountain is very good, a very exquisite sculpture sample, the fountain is also very good, and the water flow is quite impressive. [Scenery] Surrounded by buildings [Interesting] Many shops are also very good [Value for money] All are free to visit
I think some modern sculptures today may have similar ideas! But on this day, the nakedness of all the characters, their positions and the overall scene were not welcomed by many people. This bronze piece is called the Fountain of Brabo, named after a mythical Roman soldier Silvis Brabo, who apparently killed a giant named Drew Antigan and cut off his Hand, throw it into the river; therefore, he described it on top of the sculpture. Rambo's fame is the ability to portray power and movement in his works, and this is no exception! He is obviously a talented artist. Unfortunately, decades later, he did not see the broad embrace and appreciation of his sculptures, which are now deeply loved and inimitable.
