Johnson Woods State Nature Preserve

Well worth the walk.

The trail is a loop on a boardwalk the entire loop. Large parking lot across the road from the park. Very nice walk that is entirely shaded.

What sets Johnson woods apart is the wood boardwalk that makes up the trail. Some nature purists may not like this but it's nice because you aren't walking on mud and you don't have to watch the trail...

The trail is only about a mile long, but it's a boardwalk all the way. Very nice hike. Be sure to Take bug spray.
