🔸 Caraiman Monastery is an Orthodox monastery. 📍 located at the foot of Buteni (Bushteni) in Prahova district. Bushteni has some good hiking areas, but the day I lived there I heard that the cable car was a bit faulty, so I didn't make the trip. 🔸 The monastery is located about 900 meters above sea level, one of the highest elevations ever built in Romania. 🔸 The great monastery was only established in 1998. The cross on the top of the mountain is more like an envoy, guarding the monastery. 💲 Visit free 🕐 Visit time is: 7.00-20.00🔸 It is said that tourists can apply to live in the abbey. I asked like the administrator, she said yes, but she had to apply in advance and pay about 90 lei.
