Qatar National Museum (National Museum of Qatar) officially unveiled to the public on March 28, 2019. Master Jean Nouvel (Jean Nouvel ), with this architectural masterpiece, brings an unparalleled immersive experience to global visitors. The whole building is like a desert rose - not a plant, but a special geological phenomenon in the desert. Under certain conditions, the sand gradually condenses into a rose petal-like mineral crystal. Each petal is interlaced like a disk, moving, future, Desert roses, I feel like tents in the desert, let people remember!

Each house in the Mshereib Museums is built in a traditional Qatari style, with colonnaded courtyards, typical since the early 19th century. A restored family home, Radwani House best illustrates this, with rooms structured around a central open space. The house allows visitors to look at traditional family life in Qatar, and the changing norms in domestic life.

One of the most famous places to visit in Qatar, the Doha Fort was first built in 1880 by the Ottomans and was used as a police post. Interestingly, it was built on an elevation where Bedouins and locals would come to trade a variety of goods. In many cases, this included livestock goods. As time passed and the place grew in fame, it became, what the world now calls, Souq Waqif. Besides, here’s what you need to know about the Doha Fort’s history from 1906 to 1915.

Al Koot Fort was built in 1880 by the Ottomans as a police post. It was built on a slight elevation in the proximity of a dry waterbed known as Wadi Musheireb. This waterbed used to be a gathering place where Bedouins and locals would trade a variety of goods, primarily livestock goods. This gathering place grew into what is now known as the Souq Waqif. From 1906 on the fort was used as a prison. In 1915 the fort was abandoned by the Ottomans.
