The Inoue family is a family that served as Hachioji Sennin Doshin 々. Genzaburo Inoue's older brother, Matsugoro Inoue, introduced Hikogoro Sato to the natural Rishin school. Isamu Kondo and others also visited the dojo where Hikogoro Sato opened at his home, and Genzaburo played an active role as the captain of the Shinsengumi 6th squad. However, this museum will only open on the first and third Sundays. I think it's a museum with a little high hurdle.
There is also a specialty souvenir called "Gendora".

It is located in a residential area about a 5-minute walk from JR Hino Station. The opening date is very limited, and in principle, it is only between 12:00 ~ 16:00 on the first and third Sundays of every month. There are many exhibits related to Matsugoro, probably because their descendants are the blood of Genzaburo Inoue's older brother, Matsugoro Inoue. Genzaburo was active as a Shinsengumi in Kyoto, while his older brother Matsugoro was active as a concentric figure in Hachioji Sennin at that time. There are swords given by Isamu Kondo to matsugoro and letters addressed to matsugoro by toshizo hijikata ...
Due to the reconstruction work, it seems that the museum will be closed until June 2019 ~ September, so I visited when I went to the Hino Shinsengumi Festival in May. It's about a 10-minute walk from Hino Station on the JR Chuo Line, but it's in a residential area, so I was likely to get lost if I didn't look at Google Map. The building has a large letter "Makoto", so you can easily understand it. The opening date is the first and third Sundays 12:00 ~ 16:00 twice a month, but at the time of Hino shinsengumi Festival (5/11, ...)
It is a private museum of Genzaburo Inoue of Shinsengumi in Hino. It is next to the home of the descendants of the Inoue family. It is a must-visit spot for Shinsengumi lovers.
It is located in the residence of the Inoue family.
