Active Volcano
This is an active volcano that is smoking. You can smell the sulphur in the air. The mountain is covered with volcanic rocks that had been spewed out long ago. There is an authentic outdoor hot spring...
We had a most enjoyable visit to Mt Asama! It had snowed 10cm the night before, in spring! Had a few spits of rain on the walk up. No problem. Umbrellas were provided in the shelters. Thank you! The ...
It is a view spot on the way to visit Kongoshoji Temple. You need to pass a toll road called "Ise-Shima e-power road". As of March 2023, it is a toll road that is quite expensive at 1650 yen, but there are about 10% discount tickets for tourist pamphlets and JAF membership discounts. The toll office is located at the entrance and exit (both ends of the road), but it is only one payment. There is a shop at the observatory, but it wasn't so busy. Also, ...
Now, it's the second day of visiting Ise. We will use the expensive Ise-Shima Skyline to visit Kongoshoji Temple. If you show your parking ticket for Naiku, you can get a discount of about 20%, but you can still get a discount of 1,000 yen, and you can't collect it at this view, so expect Kongoshoji Temple.
I used the Ise Skyline to go through Mt. Asakuma to return from the inner shrine of Ise Jingu by Ise Bay Ferry. The price was a little high at 1270 yen. It was a winding skyline a long time ago. On the way, I went to the top after looking at the scenery at the Uda Observatory. There were only a few parking lots. I looked at the scenery of Ise Bay from the observatory, but it was a surprisingly flat landscape.

I wanted to go to Mt. Asahi and see it.
