The town is not highly commercialized, and it has more of a simple and enthusiastic atmosphere from the local people. This ancient town has a long history that dates back to the Ming Dynasty. 🌟 Highlights: As an important commercial port in the southeastern region of Guizhou, Xiashi Ancient Town was once the economic, cultural, and transportation center of southeastern Guizhou. The town's architecture is unique and quaint, resembling a vivid ink painting! 🗓 Itinerary: 1. Drum Tower: This is a common sight in Dong villages, and surprisingly, there's such a structure at Kaili South Station! It's usually used for meetings and dancing, and the dome is quite beautiful! You can take photos from different angles! 2. Xizi Tower: A place where scholars in ancient times used to burn paper, with a small inverted U-shaped door for placing the paper! 3. Yangming Academy: The most rewarding part of the trip! The entire academy interprets the life of Wang Yangming from birth to death in five stages of 'realization'. His ups and downs, changes in thought, personality, hobbies, and character are vividly depicted on paper, truly dynamic! 4. Conscience Bridge The bridge surface is more complex and grand. There's also another bridge called the Connected Hearts Bridge, both ancient and single-arched. 5. Lusheng Square: A place where locals dance and sing, and also a large square for gatherings and performances, with an ancient stage (reportedly filmed by CCTV), and Western-style buildings – the old post office, connected to the ancient street, with vendors' calls echoing! 6. Moreover, the origin of the Xiashi dog is introduced inside, which is quite interesting. You can also visit the Zhejiang Guild Hall, which houses many coins from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China! 7. Guangdong Guild Hall: Grand and splendid, it's said to have a very large stage inside, but it was not open today. The exterior walls are very beautiful, all patterned, and from the side, it looks like a 'convex' character. It's said that a lot of silver dollars were spent on its construction, not something ordinary people could afford! 🍽 Dining Recommendations: Of course, there are also docks and some other buildings worth checking out! There are two restaurants recommended inside, one is Yang Dog Restaurant (owner's name), where I ordered a beef hotpot, which was very generous! Guizhou Xiashi Ancient Town ️You must visit this place with your loved one at least once in your lifetime! ️This is Xiashi Ancient Town located in Kaili City, Guizhou Province. ✅Located in the upper reaches of the Qingshui River, it is known as the 'Pearl on the Qingshui River' and also enjoys the reputation of 'Cultural Xiashi, Natural Scenery'. ✅It is the hometown of Chinese red garlic, zinc-selenium rice, and the world-famous Xiashi dog. ✅The world-class and Asian slalom canoeing base is also located here.

The lesser-known scenic spot in Kaili, Guiyang, is Xiasi Ancient Town. After thinking with friends for several days, we finally chose to travel to the cool Guizhou. We set off from Chongqing to Shuanghe Valley for a day, and then drove to Kaili for four hours to Xiasi Ancient Town. Xiasi Ancient Town has been a commercial town since ancient times. The hot summer is suitable for coming to the small town with water town style to cool down. When you enter Xiasi Ancient Town, you can see small boats swaying on the clear river, which is a prosperous scene in the south of the Yangtze River, very comfortable! Xiasi Ancient Town has not been overly commercialized yet. Except for the main street being commercial, the side streets are still quite life-like. You can see the slow life of the town residents everywhere. Walking in the ancient town, you can see the Miao drum tower, stilted buildings, Yuwang Mansion, and women's college have retained a lot of old buildings, and the Sichuan and Yunnan guild hall, Guangdong guild hall also witnessed the commercial status of the year. The old pavilions and buildings from the Republic of China period have a style of Chinese and Western fusion.

The Xiashi Dog is a hunting dog raised by the local Miao people, characterized by its fierce appearance and reddish nose, mouth, and eye rims. ️The delicacies of Xiashi Ancient Town include sour soup fish and Xiashi dog meat hotpot. ️Xiashi's rice and garlic are quite famous, with Majiang being known as the 'Hometown of Zinc-Selenium Rice in China' and the 'Hometown of Red Garlic in China.' ️Majiang County also extensively cultivates blueberries, making it the largest blueberry production base in southern China.

The ancient town of Xiaosi in Kaili City, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, is the most recommended spot to visit in domestic ancient towns. With a history of over 600 years, it is known as the 'Hometown of World-Famous Dogs', 'Hometown of Chinese Dragon Boat Champions', and has been reputed as 'Little Shanghai'. I prefer the quiet decay over the bustling scene. I have a special fondness for the pristine state of Xiaosi Ancient Town. Beyond the years eloquently narrated by the natural landscape and the context of the Miao and Dong ethnic groups' habitats, The flowing streams reflect the mottled and fragmented days, timeless and without beginning or end.
