From Obori Dori Street
Original Text
It is a gate located on the east side of Kanazawa Castle and connects to Kenrokuen by Ishikawa Bridge. It's a pretty good gate, but this is still a back gate. I took a quick tour while walking along Obori-dori, so the turret had a stronger presence than the gate, but it was quite good overall.
Proceeding from Kenrokuen, you will reach this strong gate. It's an area composed of a sliding box, and if you attack here, you won't have a life. It's a castle-like landscape.
Kanazawa Castle has fewer buildings derived from the Edo period than I expected, but the Ishikawa Gate, which is a slug, is one of the few and is an important cultural property. It is interesting that the stone wall at the entrance is different in the way of assembling on the right and left. This happened because the renovation period was different. The left side is rough masonry, and the front side is more sophisticated masonry. The stone is a tomuro stone. The reddish Akato room and the white Aoto room are combined to create a fashionable color. It was also introduced in Bra Tamori.
When you go to Kanazawa Castle Park from Kenrokuen, you will cross the Ishikawa Bridge, but you can see the Ishikawa Gate in front of you. The pure white plaster wall and whitish lead tiles have a beautiful appearance. Many tourists go there, but it was originally the karate gate (back gate).
Ishikawa Gate is said to have been named because it faces Ishikawa-gun. Ishikawa Gate is a gate that runs from Kenrokuen to Kanazawa Castle. The appearance lit up at night is the best.
