Small cabin
It is a small cabin beside Benzaiten Jyorikujyo. Gonzo is workers who used to carry coal, and this cabin was used for them to take a rest. It is however a reconstruction.
A few days ago, I experienced it for the first time while walking on Wakamatsu Minamikaigan-dori (Wakamatsu Band). About 300m from the Wakato ferry ferry. Within 5 minutes even if you wander around. According to the tourist information book, it is a rest area built in 1996 imitating the locking place of Oki Nakashi who supported the coal loading business at that time. The text of the guidebook was very new, but the real thing was a renewal style of the hut that was actually used in the past. If it was newly built, it would have been a lot of work. At the time when my house stopped by (early morning on weekdays), ...
It is a small building that reproduces the packing place of people involved in coal transportation labor during the heyday of energy. Locals are using it for breaks. You can take a beautiful picture of Wakado Ohashi from the place facing the cave bay around here.
It is said that the Gonzo hut reproduced what was actually used as a packing place for people who transport coal from the Meiji era to the Showa period 40. The inside was simple, beautiful and organized.
It seems to be about a person who carries coal. This hut was a reproduction of a hut where the accumulated coal was placed once, and the interior was a rest area and tools and panels at that time.
