Puijo tower

Puyou Observation Deck is a local landmark in Kuopio. When you arrive at the city, you can see it from a distance. It is located in the city center, just a few kilometers from the famous local market. The observation deck is located on the top of Puyou Mountain, offering lake and city views. More than 80,000 people visit here every year. Since the beginning of the 19th century, it has attracted domestic and foreign tourists. The landscape here continues to inspire Finnish artists, and Puyou is constantly mentioned in literature, art, photography, film and music. Over the years, it has hosted many important guests, such as Finnish President Urho Kikkonen and Persian kings. It is said that the Persian king once wanted to buy the tower for his wife.
