When I was in Manaus I learned that a lot of the shows at the Amazon Theatre were free, so I lined up for a night to see a wonderful jazz show. You should be here at least an hour in advance to find a seat. It would be better two hours in advance as seats are limited. But really a great experience! Definitely worth it! I feel like I'm back 200 years ago. The exterior architecture and interior of the theater still maintains a classical style. The performance was really amazing, lasted an hour and a half. I almost got out of my queue because I had to go to the bathroom halfway through, but luckily they still opened the door and let us in in time. Awesome! I will definitely come back to this theatre when I come to Manaus again.
The Amazon Theatre, also known as the Manaus Theatre, is one of Brazil's most famous opera houses. It has been built for more than 100 years. The Amazon Theatre’s very large red exterior walls make it very conspicuous, the interior is also very luxurious, and there are often some large opera performances, which are worth watching.
On November 24, 2016, we came to Manaus City to visit the Manaus Theatre in the center of the city. The theatre, built in 1895, is designed and constructed according to top standards, and materials are selected and purchased. We followed the lecturer from the first floor to the fourth floor, then entered the theatre. We visited the VIP room, dressing room, exercise room, etc. in turn, to understand the choice and matching of lamps, floors, wall tiles, dance beauty, sound and performance clothes, and to understand the artistic concept of the designer. The whole visit process is a beautiful enjoyment.
The Amazon Theatre must be the first stop for a tour of Manaus. It was a surprise to meet such a magnificent theatre in this small town. The Amazon Theatre, built in 1897, still presents various performances every day. But if you have as little time as we do, you can also follow the guide with only 20 local currencies to find out that South America is comparable to many European concert halls in the eye-catching theatre. There are Portuguese and English explanations. You can choose English when buying tickets. Note that it is not buy-in, but every other time, a small team. It's not allowed to move freely in the interior. It's important to follow the commentator.
This opera house is an opera house for more than a hundred years. It is a building left under British colonial rule. It is very atmospheric and the statues on it are beautiful. When we entered, we were performing an opera. It can be seen that the cultural life of Manaus City is more colorful.
The very famous Amazon Theatre, the pink building, is said to have all the building materials and decorations originated in Europe and is one of the landmarks of Manaus. From afternoon to evening, there are often performance shows in the downtown square. There are also many scenic spots around.
