wonderful view
we came to cape etomo because we didn't have enough time to go to cape chikyu. the view was splendid, given that it was a clear sunny winter day too. we spent about 20-30 minutes there.
This is a little under-rated and less touristy compared to Cape Chikyu but I actually enjoyed this place a lot more because if you are here on a bright sunny day, the views across the sea and harbour ...
It is an observation area located at the westernmost point of the four scenic spots Pirikanoka that connect to the coast of the Etomo Peninsula. Etomo comes from "Enrum" which means cape in Ainu language. In the right direction you can see Muroran Port, on the left you can see the cliffs that approach the sea surface, and in front of you is the sea field that continues to the horizon. Compared to the famous Sunrise "Cape Earth", it seems to be a famous Sunset that represents Muroran.
It is the end of Muroran. It used to be far away, but now there is Shiratori Bridge, so it is one of the scenic spots that have become easier to reach. Mountains in the direction of Uchiura Bay and the Pacific Ocean, Mt. Muroran, Mt. Usu and Mt. Yotei. The collaboration with Daikokujima is wonderful.

Nothing to observe
I gazed out over the ocean and saw the water. I did not observe any unusual activity. Here, too, Godzilla did not rise from the sea.
Stupendous views of the sea and harbour
