Most Beautiful Eleven Face Kannon in Japanese National Treasure
I believe this Eleven Face Kannon is the most beautiful in Japan and there is no place like here to see Kannon with very close distance. Unfortunately taking photo is prohibited, but I think everyone ...
Firstly this is in Takatsuki, 3 stops or about 10 minutes from Nagahama on JR. Trains are infrequent, leaving N I believe only at 12 mins past each hour outside peak times. The return from T was at 18...
You can see the whole circumference of the eleven-faced Kanzeon from a close distance.

Eleven-faced Kanzeon and two Great Buddhas are beautifully lined up in a small hall. First, a voice commentary will be played, and then the commentator will explain. The commentator will explain in very detail, so if you have weak legs, there are plenty of seats, so it's a good idea to sit and listen. You can park for free at the "Takatsuki Kannon no Sato History and Folklore Museum". The surrounding streets are a simple countryside landscape.
The eleven-faced Kannon statue of the national treasure is enshrined.

The eleven-faced Kannon statue, a national treasure that is said to have been carved during the time of Emperor Shomu, is enshrined. Looking at the creation style, there is an expert opinion that it is 9 century, but it is wonderful anyway. The precincts are also beautifully maintained.
It is an eleven-faced Kannon statue enshrined in Mugenji Temple (Toganji Kannon-do). It's wonderful. It is tilted to the right a little, and when viewed from the side, it is also a little forward, and it is not possible to say anything, and it is even sensual. It's been a long time since I saw the Maitreya Bodhisattva at Koryuji Temple when I was young and was nailed to it, I was impressed by how beautiful it was.
