Original Text
As I was running on a mountain road toward Motonosumi Shrine, I found a small sign on the edge of the prefectural road that said, "Tanada in Higashigobata". From the prefectural road, it became a narrow road that made it difficult to pass each other when oncoming vehicles came. When I went along such a road, there was a space like a parking lot, so I parked my car there. The area right next to the parking lot was a meadow rather than a terraced rice field. From the center of Shimonoseki, I went north to cross Yamaguchi Prefecture and headed for Motonosumi Shrine. When Motonosumi Shrine was approaching and the Sea of Japan began to be visible, I found a sign indicating "Tanada in Higashigohata". There was a small parking lot ahead of the narrow winding road. There is also an observatory, and I think it was a 3~4 minute walk to that. When you stand on the observatory, the terraced rice fields spread out, and beyond that is the Sea of Japan. The original 々 seems to have a lot more rice fields, but abandoned cultivation ...
Visited after worshiping the sunset at Motonosumi Shrine. It was a little dark and disappointing as a view, so I visited again during the day on another day. The green terraced rice fields in summer are brighter and more beautiful when the blue of the sea and sky and the green of the rice fields shine brighter.
On the way to Motonosumi Shrine, I stopped by because it was a good time. There is a parking lot and toilet around the viewpoint on the hill. The essential rice terraces are after the harvest of Karakkara ... The scale is not so big, so I wasn't particularly impressed, but I was able to see the natural scenery and the rice terraces for the first time in Japan, so stop by. Good I thought it was good. I am envious and deeply moved that there are people living in such a scenery 〜.
It is a small rice terraces. There is a parking space nearby, so you can walk a little and finish seeing it. But the weather was nice and I could see the rice terraces and the blue sea ahead, so I felt good.
