Established in the １７１０ era of the Edo period, it has been held every May as a spring festival since the Meiji era. It is designated as an important intangible folk cultural property of Rukoku and is registered as an intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO. It is a facility that exhibits umbrellas, an stalls, hikiyama, etc. of this festival all year round. You can also see it in the night lantern mode with lighting, so you can experience the night of the festival. You can enjoy the video of the Hikiyama Festival in the lobby with the elegant festival choshi.

The Hikiyama Festival at the end of the castle is one of the 33 "Yamato Yatai Events" currently registered as an intangible cultural heritage in Japan [three are registered in Toyama Prefecture; the other two (Takaoka City, Mikuriyama Festival) (Uozu ﾀﾃﾓﾝ)].
