Civil heritage
Original Text
It is a dam of the Kansai Electric Power Co., Ltd. Soyama Power Station. It is said that it was selected as a civil engineering heritage, and it is said that it was the highest 5 dam before the war. It is said that it has been selected as "Japan's Modern Civil Engineering Heritage ~ Existing Important Civil Engineering Structure 2000 Selection" by the Society of Civil Engineering. The site was a road by the lake dam, and it was a steep road with continuous snow shades.
It is a dam 1-2 kilometers north of Ainokura Village. I went up by rental car from Takaoka to the south, and it was a downhill road from this dam. The dam is small, so I saw it a little when I crossed the bridge. The hill road is deeper to the village.
It is a beautiful dam lake built on the Soshan village, which was abandoned for dam construction.

It is a beautiful dam lake built on the Sozan village where everything was separated and the village disappeared due to the construction of the dam and the village was abandoned. There were many voices against the construction of a large dam that disappeared all of the villages, but now it is a natural lake surrounded by green mountains 々. It is a beautiful dam lake that you should definitely visit because it is located further back of the famous Aikura village where Gassho-zukuri house 々 is lined up.
It is a dam lake located deeper than the Aikura village, following the Higoekyo Gassho Line from the Gokayama Interchange. Although it is a backward place, it became a good destination for a drive after seeing the village because it proceeded along the beautifully paved Hikoshikyo Gassho Line. It was a natural lake surrounded by green mountains 々.
